Nashua 3 in x 15 ft Aqua-Seal Waterproof Tape in Black

This tape is Awesome! Finally a tape that REALLY sticks and sticks even under water. Used it to repair a couple of cracks in a plastic yard pond and was able to apply it with out draining the pond. Two repairs have been holding for several weeks now and am very happy I didn't have to pull the liner out to repair or replace. Also used to waterproof the outside cat5 camera connections which seems to be working well although it is very hard to remove if you need disconnect it. Finding several uses for it and am glad to have it in my repair kit.

It was used to seal a crack in a preformed pond and it has held up for the last (2) weeks. I was impressed with how well it has worked. Once this tape is stuck to a surface, it is very tough to remove. Update: This product is still holding strong on the pond crack as of this date, January 2, 2024.

Surface MUST be dry for proper adhesion and does NOT adhere to silicone caulk even if dry. Otherwise, adheres well so far and is definitely waterproof when applied properly. Produce is very thin and easy to work with. Caution when applying as it will adhere easily and is difficult to remove, a good sign that is will not leak.

Fair warning — this tape means business. Getting it positioned right the first try matters because repositioning is not really an option. Used it to patch a hose on my kids' inflatable waterpark and it held through a whole summer of use. Waterproof claim is legit.

This does not work at all. I used it for my seem between the waterfall and pond. As soon as I filled the pond it pulled completely apart had to remove all the rocks. I would not recommend using this for seems.

This stuff is amazing. It sticks to anything I have tried it on... actually sticks TOO well, because it is extremely time consuming if you need to remove it. I had a big crack in my plastic kayak, and this tape was the only thing I had that could slow the leak (didn't quite stop it). But it is a fast repair! When I got home I did a "plastic weld" for a permanent fix... but who is going to bring a plastic welder and have 120V on a kayak tour?

I discovered that this tape does not work underwater on smooth black rubber even though the rubber was cleaned and dry when I applied it. It may work fine on other surfaces but it doesn't on smooth rubber. It initially seemed to stick well, but in a few months underwater, it began to detach.

I have water fountains on my patio and the one I first bought had a leak in the seal and it's rather large and the other ones even larger and from over the years the bottom cracked out all I had to do was put it over it underneath outside of it and it's stuck in the water stays in and it doesn't come off once you stick it that's it it's great
