Great set, not as good as the colour reveal cars as they are metalic this is more plastic but still hot wheels, colour changing works well when it's ice water it doesn't work well with just cold water.

I was a bit hesitant to buy these based on some of the reviews but this has made me want to leave my own. We received a pack of 5 quickly as expected, the packaging was pretty minimal (as other reviews have said and also pictured) but the cars were all there. We didn't get the first set pictured which I was happy about as we already had one of the cars in that pack. Some reviews mention the cars don't work, or they are really light or poor quality but all of our 5 cars DO work and DO colour change. The weight of the cars differ between the designs but that is same of all the hot wheels cars. Overall really pleased, received 5 cars that do colour change and ones that I couldn't buy or see in the shops, so have a very happy little boy.

He loved the cars which I got for his birthday to accompany the Hotwheels car wash. He loved it!! Only dislike was the packaging it came in. Half a box, plastic insert for the cars and placed inside a brown cardboard box. Not the most exciting for a 6 year old, but the cars are fab

At first we thought only 1/5 cars worked because only one changed colour in cold tap water. But, four days after Christmas we had the idea to try putting ice in the water, like we saw a kid do on Youtube, and lo and behold they all work! We were dissapointed and annoyed for nearly a week. It would be nice if the box clearly stated to use ice water to change the colours. Now that we know how they work, my son is thrilled!

Got 5 cars, one is not changing colour so its gone missing in another pile. These are very simple but does the job. Kid happy for hours. Would do expect more for the price,

Please note that these seem to be a random 5 car colection in a cardboard box. Seems genuine in quality and supplier, so no problem there, but its a lucky dip and packaging not ideal for gift presentation. Quite frustrating when ordered as a gift knowing what cars the young boy wants, thinking youve ordered them and then end up with doubling up on what he already has. So not ideal at all. PLEASE CLEARLY STATE IN DESCRIPTION THIS IS A LUCKY DIP SELECTION WITH BROWN BOX PACKAGING, and show this packaging in the advert.

I purchased these for my Grandsons 5th birthday and was very disappointed! Firstly the packaging was poor, just a brown box. Secondly the cars/colours did not shift. My Grandson excitedly filled a bowl of cold water, popped in the cars and waited patiently, and waited and waited........nothing! After 30 mins or so one car showed a slight colour change. Overall very disappointing, very poor quality and inaccurately described as colour shifters. Ive attempted to contact Amazon...not for a refund as i would not take back a gift from a 5 year old child but to share my concerns however this has been impossible. Buy elsewhere if you want genuine Hot Wheels products

Grandson loved them. Worth the money.

Cars look old and one has a significant defect. My son thought I bought these from a thrift store and was unhappy. If you are looking to gift these to someone, do note that they do not come with the original sealed box packaging but just an opened plastic tray.

"Santa" got these to accompany a Hot Wheels Ultimate Shark Carwash so he had some extra cars. He plays with it almost every Saturday morning to "watch the colors change."
