I'd highly recommend this iem! Get it if you want a super detailed sound sig. Bass is fast and tight as you'd expect from a BA. I would prefer a little more in the sub-bass region but it is not lacking. Mids are ever so slightly recessed but they still shine especially with female vocals. Treble is very present. However, they do not sound harsh or sibilant. They are very revealing so if you listen to poorly recorded music you can get overwhelmed. Because of it being highly detailed, it can get a little too intense at times so be wary of that. Soundstage......well it's still in your head. In other words, not really that impressive but still good enough. Imaging is phenomenal! You hear where every instrument is placed with pinpoint accuracy. Overall, I think these iems are worth it. They compete with some of the flagship iems above its price point, they sound great (if you're after a highly detailed sound), and they look great too. I used a chord mojo and in ifi iematch with these. see less Update: I changed the tips to some sony hybrids I have and now the mids are not recessed at all. Now they have the perfect amount! I much prefer this over the spin fit tips I've used previously.

Very impressive 8 driver chi-fi gives my Western iems a serious problem.

I bought the S8Pro version direct from penonaudio.com (not Amazon) after realising how good Chinese iems can be.I have some custom emotions by acscustom that were twice the price. These are bass oriented and very different to the S8Pro and so I am happy to keep both.The resolution and detail in the S8Pro is very impressive. The comfort, fit and isolation is excellent. The S8Pro was supposed to be a backup to my customs. Now I am torn between the two.EDiT. The cable is rubbish. Mine failed at the connection with the 3.5mm pin. Be prepared to replace the cable if you buy these iems
