Buy time and time again
I love these meals. it feeds both my husband and I cery easily. The size of the bag is small and thin- which makes packing it up very easy. They hold a long shelf life. Taste is amazing! And I say that as a very picky eater who was thrown off when these were first suggested to me lol!! Also- the aroma isnt bad for freeze dried food.

Soak it for longer and turns out better. Don't forget the valentina or cholula.
This wasn't too bad at all. The directions had a 10 minute soak time with boiling water, but a few of the egg pieces didn't re hydrate (was like a crunchy egg thing in the center) and the potatoes were a little crisp. If you wait 15 minutes it's better. Overall this wasn't too bad at all. It's nothing fancy, and kind of feels like you're eating weird space food out of a horses feed bag, but once you get past that, I didn't mind. This was "two servings" when you define a serving as the amount of food a premature infant eats per meal. For normal humans, one bag = one serving. It comes out a little sloppy. Throw some Cholula or Valentina on this, please. Elevates it.

Not bad.
They didn't rehydrate as well as I'd hoped and figuring out the perfect amount of water involves a bit of luck while camping. Third time was the charm, kind of us. The flavor is actually decent! It tastes just like eggs, sausage and potatoes, but the texture rehydrates a bit weird. I had to add seasonings, hot sauce, and salt for more flavor. There's two portions per bag. I'd eat about 3/4 and reseal the rest for later. It's filling. I'd probably purchase them again. They make packing food for camping and festivals super easy. No prep, no clean up, win win.

Good for backpacking
My family uses these all the time for camping and backpacking trips. Taste good and easy to fix. Cost is a little high but quality.
