I have thick, wavy, salt and pepper hair, and finding something that holds all day without feeling heavy or greasy has always been a struggle until now. Bossman Hair & Beard Pomade (Gold Scent) does exactly what it promises. The hold lasts all day, it keeps everything looking clean and natural, and it even adds a nice touch of moisture without that slick, oily feel. The scent is subtle but masculine, and it works great for both hair and beard. Definitely worth the money—highly recommend!

Does what it is supposed to do. It indeed does moisturize and provides a medium hold. So far, it is better than some other products I have tried. Washes out easy too.

I’m a huge fan of Bossman and continue to be. Customer service is awesome and US based. They are one of the few who make unscented and more natural products. The hold on this was perfect!! I have curly hair and finally there’s something with good hold that doesn’t make my hair straight but allowed it to be styled. Unfortunately the smell was a bit off/strong to me. I’m so thankful there were no masking fragrances but having had their other products until they expire I think this one was already expired. It was a more rancid oil smell to me which was just too much. It washes out easily and completely though. I’m super glad I tried it.

Very effective at keeping the beard under control. Smells good. You get a lot for the cost. I will be buying more when I run out.

I bought the gold scent. Smells good and holds nicely. Not greasy and oily. This is not a normal beard balm. It is a wax that is not as easy to apply as standard balms due to its dry nature, but if you are looking for hold and less shiny and greasy product that smells good, this one does the job.

For a scent named "Royal Oud," you might assume that this would contain, or at least have the scent of oud. You would be incorrect. The product does smell good, but it is not remotely similar to oud. The scents listed on the product are: lemon, patchouli, black pepper, cedarwood, coumarin, iso e super, clove bud, bergamot, and galbanum. Some of these are mentioned in the product description, and I erroneously thought that they were notes that complimented a base of oud. I wear an oud cologne, so this was annoying. The actual scent is hard to pin down, probably because there are so many components in it. It is vaguely, lightly lemony and woody. I guess that's the lemon and the cedarwood. It is a "clean" scent, neither masculine or feminine. I would have named this "Barber Shop" or something similar. The strength of the scent is light, at about 2/10, 10 being holding a lemon or such to your nose. Secondly, it is overpriced. A price tag of $10-12 would have been appropriate. This is closer to an Old Spice product than it is to some handcrafted artisanal product which might justify the price. I suspect that the word "beard" in the product name is being used as a rationale for the inflated price tag. For the good part: it works. The product works as intended, as directed. The product does not add any appreciable shine, sheen, wet look, etc.; your beard/hair will look as it does naturally, but without the annoying stray hairs and flyaways. The scent remains all day, but again is pretty faint. Big bonus: the product does not leave a visible, greasy face print on your phone after making a call. This is impressive, given the various oils and waxes that the product contains. Less than half of pomades get this right. This feature alone secured the third star. The product does remain active throughout the day, and you may refresh your beard/hair to like-new with a few swipes of a comb or brush. The tradeoff here is that if you touch your beard, kiss someone, etc., any skin that contacts your beard will be faintly sticky. This is easily rinsed away with water, with or without the help of soap. All "all day" pomades do this; the remainder are glorified hair gel. I probably won't purchase this item again, but I also won't recommend against it. Had the scent been at all reflective of the name, or had the price been more reasonable, I would buy again.

This works alot better than what I was using. Clean soft feeling and beard is manageable all day long. And no greasy or waxy feel. Gonna order more.

Great product.

This stuff is great in my mustache and beard. It really does help my unruly facial hair stay the way I brush/combed it.

Tried others, this is the best. Awesome scent, great hold. The whole line of bossman products are top of the line.

Lumpy not smooth, you have to try and pick the lumps out. Waste of time and money. Don’t buy it

I've used the naked Pomade for some time now and figured I would give hammer scent a try. Although I am fairly confident the people working at Bossman have never in fact smelt a hammer, the pomade has a nice floral scent. While strong like a hammer, and very much effective at getting the job done, I would not recommend this scent if you are going to be wearing a mask, otherwise it will seem as though a horde of floral Dwarven blacksmiths have set up shop in your sinuses. No mask, totally a great experience.

It does what its supposed to however it smells terrible. The scent is so strong and it gives me a hearache. Why not make it scent free? If you wear fragrances this will ruin it.
