Green Gobbler Drain Clog Dissolver 2-Pack Liquid Opener for Pipes

I don't write many reviews, and maybe I should start, especially for products that are delivering what they promise. I had been dealing with a slow-to-drain sink for a bit of time (maybe....5 months or so). I used to diligently use Bio-Clean but fell off of it and it really couldn't handle this slowdown even after multiple attempts. Enter Green Gobbler! I was attracted to the lack of harsh chemicals that would eat up my drains (I am in a house built in with galvanized and PVC pipes) and ease of use with hot water follow-up. The price was right, too. Last night 11pm, I followed the directions and opted to go for the overnight routine (you can either wait 15-30 min OR wait overnight). I poured half the bottle in the slow draining sink, then...on a whim, I poured the rest down the tub drain since it sometimes can get a bit slow and I thought of soap/sludge/hair build up. There was no discernable smell from the bottle - at least nothing unpleasant - and not too thick, it poured easily. I wiped up extra chemical from any metal and went to bed. Skip to 0900, I started two large pots of water on the stove to heat to just _under_ boiling. (The instructions say to run the hot water for 5 min...I'll explain what/why I did.) I first poured one pot of hot water down the tub drain and started the hot water tap to run for 5 min. Then I went back to the kitchen to refill & reheat that pot. That way, by running the tub hot water, I'll have hot water "ready" at the sink to run for a while after the pot pours. The tub wasn't the main culprit anyways. Also, it allowed me to...set up my camera to record what I suspected would be a successful show. You be the judge... Once both kitchen pots were hot, I dragged them upstairs, staged them, set up the camera to record, and SLOWLY poured the first pot into the sink. As expected, it (and as I heard from the water coming up the drain) it filled up and I let it fill in the sink to about 1 inch. And waited. No longer than 10...15 seconds later I heard a gurling (it might be heard on the video, definitely seen) and bubbles and the water quickly drained out. This is about what I expected - the cleaner broke down the mess that was still stuck as goo in the pipe and the combination of HOT water and head pressure slowly broke it up and moved it along. I quickly conitued pouring the rest of the first pot, then the second, THEN ran the hot water tap from the sink for 5 min as directed. This would ensure whatever leftover debris keeps on moving and completely breaks up and away it went! I am VERY satisfied with this product and plan on sharing the second bottle with a friend to clear their sink. It's a good value and safe for your plumbing - highly recommend!

This is rather lengthy but worth the read. I ordered this product not knowing what to expect, even though I read the reviews before purchasing. Every product will have some sort of bad review just given the opinion of some people. I had three drains in my house that were "slow" and one that was completely clogged 100%. The clog was so bad in fact, the washing machine drain would over flow about half of its rinse cycle on the floor. The other three drains, i poured the applicable amount in and let it sit over night, rinsed with hot water for about 15 minutes, and those ran fine afterwards with no issues. Now for the 100% clog. I tried to run a Drain Snake through that pipe and I was unable to get the snake through. i poured, not even half a treatment in the pipe before it began to back up the pipe. I had to stop due to I did not want a chemical spill on my floor. I waited about 3 hours to check the pipe since I did not want to wait overnight and just get it cleared. In that time, it drained maybe 1/4 inch, but i could still see the back up in the pipe. Reluctantly, I used my wet/dry Vac to suck it out of the pipe. I went and got my Snake drain and what I couldn't budge before, started to move the line down the pipe. It was still moving extremely slow but at least the snake was making its way down. I worked the snake up and down manually for a bit pulling it up from time to time. I couldn't believe my eyes. A heavy grey sludge, just sticking to the snake. I did this about 6 or 7 times before it started coming up clean. It may not have cleared the pipe 100% but it loosened things up for me to snake it out and clear the drain line. I would highly recommend this product and will definitely purchase again

I’ve tried a few drain cleaners over the years, and Green Gobbler stands out because it’s easy to use, less harsh than many chemical alternatives, and really tackles hair and soap scum effectively. I appreciated that it didn’t have an overwhelming chemical smell, and I could use it without gloves or worrying about splashing dangerous acids. For me, it worked very well on most minor clogs, but it struggled a bit with a particularly stubborn, older blockage, so I gave it 4/5 instead of 5. That said, it’s far safer and more convenient for regular maintenance, and I like knowing I can keep it on hand for those “oh no” moments in the bathroom or kitchen. Many reviews only focus on “it worked” or “didn’t work.” I wanted to highlight that it’s gentle, convenient, and great for preventative use, not just emergency unclogging. For everyday household maintenance, it’s a smart, practical choice that I’d recommend keeping in your cleaning arsenal.

Forget Drano! This product is the best of the best! 🙌 My bathroom sink was completely clogged from toothpaste, hair, and who knows what else. I used an entire bottle of Drano and even poured hot water down the drain, but it didn’t unclog a thing! I decided to try Green Gobbler, and I’m so glad I did. I only used half a bottle, and within an hour, my sink was completely unclogged! I honestly couldn’t believe it.

I never heard of this product until I saw it on You Tube it said it is natural and fatty acting. The price a little high, but it is good. I bought the twin pack. The containers have a measuring line on the side of the bottle it let you make sure you put the right amount into your sinks and toilets. I poured the contents into the toilets and sink and didn't use them for a couple of hours viola!! The toilets and sink drains are working wonderfully! I will buy it again in a couple of months. Try it do not hesitate it works like a destroyer of grime.

I'm now one of those 'I never write reviews but have to write a review' people. I have been battling a slow drain in my bathtub for months now. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time it could 'keep up.' I kept draining my wallet with other brands, and nothing worked. I stumbled upon this and decided why not give it a try. I read the reviews and some said it's great and some said it's not. I took my chances. And I am so, so, so glad I did. I did the first 'dose' and left in for a [just over] two hours, per directions. Hot water flush after (got water to almost boiling on the stove top) and nothing happened. It drained just as slow as before. Not giving up yet, I decided I'd give the pipes a rest and do it again the next day. (I live in an older apartment and I am paranoid, even though it says it's safe!) The next day (after we were all done with showers) I dumped the next 'dose' down and let it stay like that for the night. The next morning - again - hot water flush and plunging and nothing. It just seemed worse. Discouraged, I got my shower and the water in the bathtub was up to my ankles by the time I was done. I went to the store for a newer/better plunger, and decided I'd give it another shot. Down the Green Gobbler goes - the 3rd dose. That brings me to today. I did the hot water flush, I plunged, nothing. I showered and the water was up to the top of the shower curtain liner this time. Gross! And then guys... the magic happened. I plunged a few times and suddenly the plunger stopped fighting me. I lifted up on the plunger and heard something I haven't heard in a lonnnng time: RUNNING WATER IN THE PIPES. The level of the water was slowly going down. I stared in awe. THIS STUFF REALLY WORKS!! This is what I've figured out: If it's the first time you're using it, the gunk is probably a bit much and could potentially cause a bigger clog. But keep at it! It took me 3 'doses' but it worked! And I love, love, love that they already have it portioned out for you - no more over or underpouring! GET THIS STUFF. Get a good plunger. Finally, give yourself some time. It may not happen overnight, you may have to do it a few times, but keep going. It's absolutely worth it!! I can't wait to get a shower tomorrow!!

I feel I really need to leave a review. This was recommended to me by a friend. Even though the reviews are overwhelmingly positive on here, and I so so so hoped that this would work for us, too. IT DID NOT AND IT MADE THINGS WORSE. I followed instructions, so the failure was not a result of that. Instead of a slow draining bathroom sink and bathtub, we got a COMPLETELY CLOGGED bathroom sink and bathtub. Two nights ago I was able to declog the sink. I scooped water out from the sink, filled hot water in the sink, plunged, scooped out water again, filled with hot water, plunged, repeat and repeat and repeat - I don't know how many times but finally got it to flow. Our sink now flows nicely (okay, maybe the Green Gobbler did help clean the drain pipe a little? But it should NOT have COMPLETELY CLOGGED the drain in the first place, that just does not make any sense). So now I'm at it with the bathtub, which, again, is completely clogged after using the Green Gobbler. I cannot understand why so many reviews had such fantastic/miraculous results with this, but ours is completely the opposite..... This is an updated review. I upped the one start to three. Okay, so this is what I think.... If you have a slow slow draining sink. Do NOT leave Green Gobbler in your drain pipes for too long. Just flush after 15 mins. I think the longer it's left in, it will be at work too long and actually clog up the pipes completely (for some). I think it's "safer" to just repeat the treatment a few times. I plunged both my bathroom sink and bathtub like there's no tomorrow (I'm not exaggerating, I should have videoed it), and they are draining now. The tub is not 100% but it is better than before. So, if you used the Green Gobbler, and it actually completely clogged up your drain, this is what I did to get the sink and tub flowing again (disclaimer, I'm only sharing what I did in the hope to help, if you get burned by boiling water or Green Gobbler gets splashed on you or something, it is not my fault, do this at your own risk with proper protective gear, gloves, glasses/goggles, etc etc) - First, scoop out the water that's just standing in the sink/tub. Do nothing for a day for like 24 hours (really, I just left it like that, with the Green Gobbler supposedly in the drain pipe). Then the next day, pour in boiling hot water. Plunge (super careful so you don't get burned. For me, when I plunged, I could tell the water being sucked up had the Green Gobbler, because it was all bubbly like suds, so I know GG was in the pipe). Scoop nasty water out. Pour boiling water down again, plunge, scoop. Repeat and repeat and repeat. Take breaks in between of course. *When I plunged, I also cleaned out the gross stuff so they don't go back down the drain. I know one can just say uh this is stupid, you are just plunging like anyone. But I just wanted to share my experience in case if someone really want to give it a shot instead of calling a plumber right away. I honestly think the key is boiling water and letting the GG just sit in the pipe for a looooooong time. And I changed my rating because I do notice both drains drain better now, I do believe that GG did clean the pipes a bit despite "causing" the initial complete clog (for the sink I know the clog was further down the pipe, because I had cleaned the trap and the area that I could reach with a manual snake).... Anyway, that's my two cents! Hope you will not have to go plunge crazy like me, but at least give it a shot if you are not afraid to get a bit dirty and flex some muscles!

I used this twice before on a bathroom sink. Was running slow so I got it, used it overnight , poured the hot water down and I was thrilled!!!! I did not say a word to my husband because then it would become a three day “ project “ lol. I took him in there and showed him. Cranked both faucets up hard and it went down like a waterfall !!! Hubby was speechless. My only question is why it is now clear and not green????? I thought “ oh no they changed it.” Worked almost as well but took a little more and not as thick. Where’s the green in the green gobbler?? What’s the reason? I don’t get why the color and thickness change? I mean that’s why it got its name. It was green. It’s now clear. And not as thick. Like I said I loved it the only time I have used it. I don’t know why I’m obsessed with this!!! I don’t see me not using it. LOL Is there someone who can answer this simple question? From the company?

We have a toilet that occasionally has some draining problems and we are not sure why. Anyway we used this product as the instruction state and the toilet drained as expected after each use. We selected this product as it does not use harsh chemicals and is safe for septic use. This product is highly recommended if you have a drain or toilet that has some drainage issues.

Très satisfaite il a débouché ma toilette avec seulement la moitié de la bouteille. Je l'ai versé avant d'aller me coucher, et le lendemain, j'ai tiré la chasse. Ça n'a pas débouché tout de suite. J'ai fais mon pipi, et j'ai retiré la chasse, et la, la toilette c'est débouché. J'en recommande d'autres bouteilles pour en avoir toujours sous la main. Et dès que la toilette se bouche, aller hop je remet ce produit miraculeux. N'hésitez pas a en acheter car c'est un excellent produit a avoir toujours chez soit. De plus, il nous fait économiser sur le prix d'un plombier.
