The powder you need to have acrylic nails.

I have long nails already, can I use this powder and then apply gel polish?

I only used it on my shorter nails to get them all the same length then applied the gel polish. I will say it makes your nails stronger then the natural nail alone.

Use them on the nail bed as a "cover" or you can lay it on the entire nail then cap with clear. Cover powders aren't meant to have the strength a clear acrylic polymer has, so you should always cap with clear. This is a fair price for these containers, like I stated, they're not meant to hold the structure of the nail on its own, they're cover powders, period.

Are these strength powders?

Honesly I dont know. I have worn them without a clear acrylic on top, and have not had any problems. There are times where I do put on clear acrylic on top.
