I was excited to get this set of brushes but was wary of the quality because of the price. After painting (acrylic) with these, I have to say they are an excellent set for the price! First I read other reviews and learned that the paint on the handles would wear off if I soaked the whole brush in water. Well I never do that anyway, so after a month, the handles on my brushes are still intact, no chipped paint. I read the instructions that came with the brushes and had to trim a few stray hairs but that was it. The bristles remain soft and glide smoothly as they did the first day I used them. The biggest plus is the case! I love the way it serves as a case and a brush stand. I was at Michaels craft store the other day and found the same brushes sold individually - some of them were as high as 9.50 each!! This set is definitely worth the value! I'm glad I found them here first!

Just painted with these and I really like them. used them with acrylic. The array of brushes is nice. the case is very nice, like another reviewer said most won't use the case regularly but I think if I were going to take my brushes on a trip this would be a nice way to store them. but I think they will remain at the side of my easel. There was a very minor issue with my order and Rob the owner was really helpful. Not sure if he is an artist but I bet he is. Compared to comparable brushes locally bought I think these are a solid value. If you are considering them you have probably considered the individual prices of brushes. this is a solid set for a reasonable price.

Beautiful Brushes in a lovely case! The seller wrapped the set in a box with a lovely ribbon and a note thanking me for my order, something I did not expect, but I appreciated very much; that personal touch made opening the box even more exciting as this was a present from me to me! Specific instructions on how to first care for these brushes and thereafter are quite helpful since I am a novice. Beautiful set wrapped with a lovely ribbon and a thank you note! I felt like I received a present...and the instructions about how to care for the brushes are very helpful as well.

Fantastic brushes and customer service. I sent email to Artscape at 2:58 AM ( yes AM ) and had a response back at 4:35AM! I had bought the 12 inch, 8 inch and detail brushes. I was pre -washing the brushes and some bristles fell out of the 12 inch #15 filbert. ( no problems with any of the others. ) I sent an email and within 2 hours a replacement brush was on the way. I have never had such great service! The brushes are soft and most are long bristle which is what I wanted. They take up paint well and lay down a smooth layer. ( I use acrylic ). The holder is very well made and protects the brushes as well as make them at hand when working on a project. Did you ever have a brush that was so nice that you were torn between using it right away and not using it to keep it nice and new? These are those brushes.

I'm a beginner and I'm glad I invested on these brushes. They r excellent! They give you Smooth strokes, the long handles r evenly weight and no hair pieces come off. Although it didn't come with some that I really need which is round 3, filbert 5, and bright #1, I had to buy separate for painting tight places. I'm rating a five concentrating on quality. But bit disappointed because of my added expense. My instructor loves them keeps saying how good brushes are, as some of my classmates. Delivery was on time. No issues to note. Buy them, you'll be pleased.

I didn't want to write a review until after I had a chance to use these brushes. I'm a novice watercolorist, but I have these, and also some top end sable brushes I purchased. I think these are a fantastic value. you get a broad selection of brushes, including the kinds most favored by the instructors I've seen. The included case is also a nice added value, easy to transport and putting the brushes in easy position for use when raised.

Half of the brushes arrrived bend, dysfunctional and not usable or fixable. Hairs are bend and wonky. Also the metal is already loose holding the brush hair from the handle.

The quality of the brushes are excellent and extremely firm. Worth the price. However, for my application, I do more small intracant work, and this set while nice fails short. Size 1,5,6 are longer than what I am accustomed to working with. I plan on shortening them and hope I don't mess up. If you do large area painting, this is very worth your money. The case is nice.

I was amazed at the quality of these. They come in a presentation box which is a nice touch and the brushes are contained in a very sturdy zipped cordura folio. There is pretty much every brush you would ever need in the set. The handles are very long which gives excellent control and helps with spattering and other effects where you want a natural randomness to the finish.

Good quality brushes for a very reasonable price
