I can't believe I found this! If you've watched NCIS Abby had one of these, and I wanted one! My mom, and I love hippos, especially the song I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas! I give her a hippo of some sort every year. I gave her this last year, and we couldn't stop laughing at it's farts! I also got myself one!

Fun on a bad day!
So as a parent I probably wouldn’t purchase this for a child if I’m trying to teach them not to be uncouth, but for an adult friend who is struggling through life, this gift could be a fun way of making them smile. The sounds are not too juicy and each time you squeeze the fluffs are different. It is good quality for the money, however I gave it to a friend so I can’t comment on the long term quality. I have no doubt though that every time she squeezes it she’ll know she has a friend that cared to make her smile.

Birthday gift for daughter
I got this for my daughter for her 19th birthday. She loves Abby from NCIS and is obsessed with Bert, so it was a perfect gift. The fart sound is so cute. I even got a collar that looks like the one from the show to go with the hippo. She is so happy!

"Farting" noise just sounds like growling
The hippo is well made and a quality stuffed animal with a good appearance. It is very cute, soft, and stands up well. I'm deducting 2 stars because the sound does not sound at all like the funny fart sound that I was hoping for. It just sounds like growling, which was a major disappointment, since I bought this toy specifically because it was supposed to have a farting noise. If you are looking for a growling hippo, this one is excellent.

The voice box sound is very low. sometimes you almost cannot hear the farts. other than that it looks great.

The hippo was to be for our grandson who was watcking NCIS. Abby had the hippo. So, my grandaughter got a hold if it and our biy us out of luck.
