I saw someone on social media using one of these and I was, like, HOW does it keep the butter fresh?! Well, I don't know how it does, but it does. Since I received mine I have decided I simply cannot live without it - ever!I love butter. Real butter in the stick. But, taking it out of the fridge cold and putting on your toast just doesn't work - too hard to spread. The spreadable butters in the tubs that are soft just don't taste as good as REAL butter.Enter the Butter Ball. I admit, I was skeptical. I live where it is VERY hot - how could the butter not melt and drip? Well, it didn't. It is perfectly soft and will last for up to 3 weeks (a stick doesn't last me that long anyway). You simply soften a stick of butter by leaving it out an hour or 2, the smooth it into the Butter Ball (a stick fits to perfection). Then you fill the bottom part with exactly 1/3 cup COLD water (I change the water every other day per the instructions). And, you always have perfectly, delicious, soft butter.I am SO unbelievably happy with this purchase. Seriously, can't live without it now!p.s. I was told to buy this ORIGINAL one, not a knockoff. It was $25, a little pricey, but well worth it. It is even pretty - a very white ceramic - makes a nice gift. Love.

This is my second time purchasing this product. It’s perfect for keeping butter soft and fresh on the counter for toast, grilled cheese, etc. Quality is great and I love the simple design, can go with any kitchen!

I have been trying to find a pretty butter bell for a long time. This was exactly what I wanted! These work well and it looks great on my countertop! Well packaged and arrived in perfect condition!

Purchased one of these in 2014 and over night we never bought another bucket of margarine or "spread" ever again. I didn't care for the speed with which the family went through oil based spreads, and saw this as a way to spread real butter on an English Muffin. But we never went back. Butter costs more but we use less, gone are the days of heaping blobs of the spreads and now we take a measured approach to butter and its usage. The Butter Bell has remained in use all these years. Dishwasher safe, keep the water fresh every couple days, keep it clean, soften a stick in advance, and it will be a go-to item!

I have always wanted one and have seen many different brands and decided to buy American and a trusted brand. It does what it says and butter stays soft. I keep changing water every 3 days but still have had the butter mold quickly. It did not work with the homemade butter. The store bought butter it does well with.

We've given up on all the synthetic kinds of margarine because of all the unknown ingredients and articles about how bad they are for a person's health. When trying to use real salted butter, it was always an issue trying to spread it until we discovered this old/new solution... the Butter Bell! It takes a little bit of getting used to defrosting the butter to room temperature, but it is so easy now. And having delicious real salted butter that spreads even easier than margarine is FANTASTIC! We love this little thing and it keeps your butter fresh for weeks, not that it lasts that long when it's staring you in the face 24/7 from the kitchen counter.

My partner and I love this butter bell! We purchased one for ourselves over a year ago and have purchased 2 or 3 for relatives since then. The design is very minimal and plain. It does not look cheap, which was a concern we had when we purchased it. It has a very 'country kitchen' type feel to it.The size is perfect for us as it does not take up too much counter space and holds enough butter for at least 5-6 days. We are a small household of 2 however. I could imagine that in a much larger household refilling this frequently could become quite a chore. The butter keeps really well in the crock and only falls into the water when it is really warm inside (27 Celsius+). We have never had a problem with the very small amount of water on the top of the butter but thought this might be worth mentioning.The only other butter bells we noticed on the market were those offered by Le Creuset and we are so happy we went with this instead. The design is just much more subtle and the color much more muted. There is a really good chance we will purchase these for more friends and family in the future!

This works. Butter tastes much better because temperature just right. It spreads like a dream No more holes in bread because butter so hard. Looks so nice in kitchen. Bought another one for my sister who is always complaining about butter straight from fridge.
