I ENJOYED this movie very much! It's a touching and sweet story. It gives the viewer a much deeper insight into the Indian culture and their daily lives. It also connects you emotionally that despite India seems a world away from the US, we all share a similar morality, goodness and loyalty to others. What can I say about SRK? He has grown into a phenomenal actor!

One of my favorite Shahrukh Khan films. Instead of mugging or overacting, he does a superb job as the NRI who decides to change his life. I understand that the reviews of this movie were lukewarm when the movie came out, but I think everyone who likes SRK and Indian films owes it to themselves to see this one.

The acting was a little cheesy at the beginning and when the movie took place in the US. But in India, I thought there were several good themes. Poverty, discrimination, injustice, romance to name a few. I liked watching how ShahRuchKhan's character changed as he visited his homeland.

One of the best Shahrukh Khan movies out there. Some cheesy acting at times from the supporting actors. But a really good story line. If you can get past the subtitles and watch a Hindi film. You will enjoy this. Something for everyone.

The movie was great! But the DVD itself would not work properly in my computer's dvd player. It did play in my Samsung dvd player.

One of those movies that are so well made but underrated. I never regret watching it. Its one of those feel good movies.

Swades, billed rather boldly as “One of the Top 250 Films of World”, is a powerful film about home and belonging. It is also very long; clocking in at a magisterial 195 minutes, it is second only to Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Gone With The Wind (of the films I have seen), so make sure you leave plenty of time if you intend to see it in one sitting!!I must admit that, due to some of the hype, I did end up being a little disappointed. It was a very good film – but it wasn’t amazing. I kept feeling as if it was about to get going, and then it never quite did. There were some very moving scenes (notably when the lead character visits Haridas) and it builds up some momentum towards the end, but as a whole it did lack some of the pace of similar films.Having said that, it tackled some important questions about inequality, poverty and the Caste system, and it did so in a thought-provoking and mature manner. The theme of home was prevalent throughout, with the lead character torn between his adopted USA and India in a very realistic manner. It was an excellent performance from Shah Rukh Khan (easily the best of his works that I have seen) and it was great to see him in a serious role, feeling emotions and portraying a complex character, rather than the rather two-dimensional parts he often goes for, such as that in Kal Ho Naa Ho.

No-one in my family is Indian and we don't speak any Indian language but we all loved the movie. The songs and dances are catchy and fun; the scenery is beautiful; the plot is exciting, moving and engrossing.

Beautiful and meaningful film - you learn a valuable lesson about family!

Truly genuine to his work and no Commercial Compromises here.I have kept this movie in my POOJA room.

The picture quality & sound quality is too good. Just listen to the soundtrack o "yeh jo des hai tera" & background scores in this Blu-ray. You will simply love it. Its a must collection for Rehmaniacs & SRK fans.
