I live in an area with a lot of slight inclines and I'm wondering if the seven speeds will be significantly helpful in getting up those small hills?

We live in and area where we either go up or down when we leave the driveway. It is up and down and mostly down and yes the seven speeds are great. We wouldn't make it back up the hills with out the speeds. They are great!

The description says the trike comes in assembled, however the comments are mostly about assembling it. Is it delivered assembled ?

It does not come assembled. But the brakes and everything are ready you just put the wheels in the handlebar on it's pretty easy to take care of.

Would I be able to ride with husband and son who ride bicycles on our paved trails that have some hills?

This bike rides on all terrain. I have no problems with hills, it is a true multi speed bike. I ride on rocks, dirt, sand, and pavement. You will not be dissapointed with this bike!

Over the years, i've done a lot of bike riding with my husband on multiple-geared bicycles. will i be able to keep up with him on a northwoods trike?

The trike is heavy in comparison with a ten-speed, and I don't think it's geared as high, therefore, I suspect you will lag. Sorry.
