Q: does anyone know how to remove the sticky adhesive from the back of the nails before applying them? I prefer glue but like pre-glued designs.

Yes. Add some cuticle oil to the sticky adhesive and let it sick for a few minutes. Then, with a needle-nosed tweezer, you can try to pull and work it off of there. Then, remove the cuticle oil by washing the nails with dish soap and rinsing and drying them. Then, wipe them and your own nails with 70% ISP rubbing alcohol to dehydrate and remove residue before using nail glue to attach them.

Q: My natural nails are shorter than the impress nails. What do you do about the adhesive in back of the exposed impress nail??

The unattached adhesive can be easily and gently pulled away. It tends to do that when exposed to water and air. I fidget anyway so it is just another solution to picking at my cuticles. I file my Impress nails short and rounded both before and after application. The longer nails are so impractical and dirt-catchers which show everything stuck to them. I have seen tips about applying top coat or strengthener polish behind the longer nails to seal them.
