Be Water, My Friend: The True Teachings of Bruce Lee

Beautifully presented in hardback format. Was purchased as a gift for my friend so I haven’t read it personally but I’m certain it will be a great read and looks like a very nice book to receive as a gift.

I would like to thank Shannon Lee for writing this book. I really took my time with it & have just finished it 6 months after purchasing it. I have loved and admired Bruce Lee for many years & wanted to read this specifically as Shannon Lee is a direct living link to Bruce Lee. There’s a lot packed into this book I could write a huge essay (but won’t ) . It gave me insights into Bruce Lee’s life & philosophies. Theres a huge treasure chest of practical & spiritual Wisdom. Also things that I never knew about this great human. Enormously helpful to anyone regardless of their culture, gender etc.. it’s Universal which to me is what Bruce Lee represents. It’s written beautifully with insight , humour & integrity. It will be a book I will return to for the rest of my life. Thankyou 🙏♥️⭐️✨

4 Stars - no protective packaging, there is a dent on the front of book. Looks like a good read. So still looking forward to finding out more.

As a yoga practitioner I have studied a lot of philosophical texts and concepts, some easier to grasp than others! The teachings from Bruce Lee (interpreted by Shannon Lee) however I resonated with instantly and deeply. His understanding of discipline and practice can so easily be applied to my own yoga practice but also to the experiences in life. Shannon Lee writes in an approachable, light hearted way that felt like a conversation from the heart. Each day I am applying to ‘Be Like Water’ and I can honestly say life is beautiful that way.

What a wonderful book, written by a clearly wonderful human being. There is so much love and admiration there for her father and Shannon Lee has done both herself and her father immensely proud in her writings. I bought the book after it came recommended (when I was buying some new kung fu trousers funnily enough) and I'm so glad I did. I've read a few 'self help' books in the past, but often find them pushy, target based, and written in an overly psychologically persuasive way to the point I find they can be untrustworthy. There's none of that here. There are ideas, suggestions, encouragement...but it's always delivered in a relaxed and calming fashion. I honestly feel more at peace whenever I pick it up to read. I'm on the last chapter, but will start it again as soon as it is finished. We'll done Shannon Lee; you've clearly got the same spirit as your father and have taken his ideas amd built on them in a way that sure will have a positive influence on whoever reads it. Thanks!

Além de ótimo acabamento e diagramação de extremo bom gosto, o livro é uma obra fidedigna da "filosofia de Bruce Lee". Não se trata da história de um "lutador", e sim de um "pensador", cujos ensinamentos servem para todas as situações que vivenciamos no dia a dia. Sua filha Shannon não produziu um livro, mas uma obra de arte tanto para apreciadores de Bruce Lee como para os jovens que "ainda" não o conhecem (se é que isso é possível!).
