This is a great book for that purpose
I've learned so much from reading this book. I never thought I would need to learn this information, unless I was planning to be an actual paid programmer, have a job in technology. But I feel more and more people are wanting to learn about computer programming because they want to be able to run their own internet business, or a blog, or a social media site, etc;. I myself am one of those people, looking to do things for themselves. This is a great book for that purpose. I've now learned about different programming languages, and how those languages work together to communicate with your computer. And how, in turn, you can use that language to give your computer commands to achieve the results you need. Os Swift breaks down exactly how to make a specific code, use the correct syntax, mind the case sensitivity, and successfully program your own computer. There are a ton of examples for further clarification, and explanations for relevant terminology. I'm glad I read this book, and I recommend it to anyone planning to program with C++.

You get what you pay for...
Typos and bad organization of topics don't help the reading experience. You get what you paid for, and I recommend putting a little bit more money in a different title, and that whether you're a beginner and want to learn or a pro who wants a refresher.

Great guide for C++ beginners.
I learned the basics of C++ when I was in college but I was not able to use it much today since my line of work is not related to programming or any of that kind. I have been collecting technical books lately to update my knowledge about Information technology. This book, however, served as a refresher to me. While breezing through this tutorial book, I remembered how I felt when I wrote my first “Hello World” program, it made me excited to write the program again but level it up this time. Compared to other tutorial books for programming I have downloaded, this one is the easiest to follow probably because I am already familiar with the program. The lessons in this book were very useful and helped me to remember the process of using C++ as a programming language and would definitely be helpful for C++ beginners.

It's okay for beginners, but...
This book is literally for the absolute beginner. It goes over the very basic aspects of what C++ is and that's about it. There is a lot to the C++ language that is not covered in this book. One HUGE issue with this book is that there are multiple spelling and grammatical errors that make it either confusing or just make it look unprofessional.

I need a lot of logic now
I want to learn about C++ programming because it is so popular here. I ask for someone to teach me about C++ programming and he told me read this book first. This book has great topics for beginners like me. This book made every topic easy to learn because it is discussed very well. I got knowledge about the syntax of C++ programming which is very important in programming language. The operations and control flow are my favorite topic in this book because they are so easy to understand just like the other programming languages.

Excellent book
Enjoyed reading this book. Was very informative. Covered a lot of subjects in a short easy to read format, definitely recommend this book for anyone new to programming or if you just want to learn something different as in my case that I like to covert my codes from C# to C++

Great primer for C++
This is a great little primer for C++. It helped ease me into programming as though I had never coded anything before. If you want to learn how to program and don't know where to start, this could very well be a great first step. The thing I like most is that it really takes it one small step at a time so as not to overwhelm you right away with a bunch of computer speak. It's like learning a spoken language, You learn letters and simple words before you learn sentences. Fully reccomended.

DONT BY THIS BOOK
I'm not one to write reviews... However, this is the worst product I have ever purchased on Amazon. This book is really bad. This book is very poorly written and you will regret your purchase like me.

Not sure how this book got published without being proofread. It contain lots of funny autocorrect and grammar mistakes, various repetitions and the flow of examples is all over the place. DO NOT BUY IT! IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Like the title says, they're atrocious! Also, the boxes with code in them are illegible. Gave it 3 stars because the knowledge and the concepts are there. Although I found a much better tutorial online which goes into C++ in much more detail and is free.
