New recipes to add to our weekly rotation. - I was so excited when I saw that Ms. Imatome-Yun had released a new cookbook. Several of the recipes from her previous cookbook, Cooking with Gochujang have become staples in our household. I was eager to check out the new book. I sat down to skim through the book and ended up reading through the entire thing before I put it down. I usually skim through cookbooks and flag the recipes I am interested in making. By the time I got through tagging this book, my markings were nearly useless because I had flagged so much of the book! In the past, I have not cooked a lot of Korean recipes at home because I was too intimidated despite my love of Korean food. These recipes work for me because: - they overwhelmingly call for ingredients that I have readily available. Adding just a couple of items to my pantry makes almost all the recipes doable without advanced planning. - the time to cook and steps required are completely manageable for a weekday meal - lots of suggestions for adjustments and variations are available in the book to adapt the recipe to your needs - they are delicious! We had the grilled marinated chicken as lettuce wraps last night and my whole family was raving about it. My son declared it the best chicken he has ever had. Adding this one to the regular rotation! Canโt wait to try some of the others. Such a great cookbook!

A great cookbook for anyone looking to make authentic Korean Food.
I am not a fan of Korean food....so why did I read a Korean cookbook you ask?? My husband loves all kinds of food, and he's asked me to broaden my horizons when it comes to the food I make and I'm always willing to try new things. Here's the thing. I still don't like korean food....BUT that's a personal preference so I decided to review this cookbook from a point of view of someone who does like korean food and the ease of following the recipes and actually making the recipes. If you're interested in the Korean culture the first section of the book of the book is great. There's a lot of information about the Korean food culture and it was definitely interesting to read. The section I found most helpful was on cooking rice. I do love rice and I got some great tips on how to make better rice and I'm excited to utilize these tips and use my newly bought rice maker. Now for the recipes โฆThey are very easy to follow and the instructions are very thorough. I will say that cooking Korean food calls for a lot of specific ingredients and not just stuff you're going to have laying around your kitchen, so be sure you adequately prepare with the proper ingredients if you plan on making recipes from this book. I may attempt to make some of the easier recipes, like the honey and ginger cookies and I will definitely be making the soy sauce! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.

Yum!
I admit i do not know much about korean food. I know i love spicy food and flavorful food so i was eager to dive into this book. The first part is all about korean food and culture history and ettiquite. I loved learning about different table manners and how food is prepared and the different types. It was a great intro and really got me psyched. You can just tell the author loves her culture and food and took great care with this cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow and the images, though feq, look delicious. There are a few ingrediants i would have a hard time finding and would have to search online but not many. Most of the recipes are simple and short with a few requiring quite a few ingrediants. All of it sounds so yummy though! Its broken down into sections and there is even a dessert part. This is a great book for korean food newbies or seasoned cooks alike and i cant wait to try some of them. Note - I have recieved this item in exchange for an honest review.

Korean food is a new adventure! Best cookbook to lead my way!
I'm not much of a Korean food eater, I'm very picky with what I choose to eat. However, after receiving this cookbook, I'm actually excited to try some of the recipes! Not only does this cookbook have recipes but it also talks about the Korean food culture, rituals & etiquette, and essentials in the pantry and cookware. It starts you out with basic stocks, sauces, and marinades then moves onto different meals ranging from bar food to soups and stews to different meat entrees and even included drinks and sweat treats. One of the recipes that I'm highly interested in trying is the Korean-Style Sweet Potato Pizza. I love sweet potatoes and I love pizza, so why not throw them together! I am very excited to experiment with some of these new and delicious sounding dishes! I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who loves Korean cuisine and to those just looking for something new to try! *I received this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. This review is 100% my own opinion.*

I love trying different kind of cuisines and cooking is my hobby. I love reading books on different kinds of recipes and trying them out and sharing with my family. This cookbook was quite an interesting collection to my cook books. Korean food is quite different from what I had tried before. The book itself was really fun to read. I really appreciate it when the dishes are represented with the help of pictures as it really brings out a depth to cooking and makes it even mire interesting. There were many ingredients which I did not have in my daily cooking that I had to purchase for this kind of food. All in all the recipes were not that difficult and the taste was great. There were many simple recipes to try. I enjoyed cooing them. Sample received at discount or no cost for honest opinion.

Very nice book for your cookbook collection
Exactly what I was looking for! I love trying new foods and am always interested to make some of the recipes but ethnic food isn't always available in traditional American cook books. This book not only has just about every Korean food that I've tasted before, but, also offers a chapter on tradition and culture of Korean food preparation and serving, and even a little bit about table manners! The 135 recipes themselves range in difficulty from easy to complicated, but most seem to be on the easy side. Each recipe gives you a "prep time" and a "cook time" so that you know before you begin what to expect. The only thing that the book lacks is photos of the finished product. The image on the front is nice and I would love to see what it is that I will be cooking, especially when some of the items I have never seen, nor heard of. *I received a sample of this item in return for an honest and unbiased review*

Interesting Korean Cuisine
If you've always wanted to try Korean food, this book is a great start. It includes 135 recipes, it includes a bit of everything. Appetizers, side dishes, rice and noodles, fish and seafood, poultry and meat, plus drinks and sweet treats. The recipe directions are well written and easy to follow. The actual recipes in the book are in small print. I would have liked them printed a bit bigger. The book also talks about Korean table manners, their rituals, and etiquette, it's interesting to read. Some of the ingredients are unique to me of course since I have never made Korean food before, so I will have to hunt a few of them down. The salads, rice and noodles and a few of the soups are the ones that catch my attention, as far as what recipes I would make from this book. I recommend the book if you are wanting to experiment with Korean cuisine. I did receive this product free in exchange for my honest unbiased review.
