Just gotta have one of these if you own a Mercedes. Why? Because they are specifically for Mercedes.Many (retail) places offer (free?) testing, but usually do not offer Mercedes-specific testing, often requiring another visit to the dealer (approved) location to get specific details of "failure" code or just pay for (replacement) repair at the (free?) place.It also gives instant peace-of-mind when a "check engine" light pops-on or a system needs a "reset" after a Battery change or failure. Very easy to use. Plug-&-Play, no batteries or instructions necessary.You'll know what's wrong (read-code & it's meaning) & then can decide if a repair can wait and have the ability to clear-the-code (make dashlight go out).This (ability) then also will show you if the problem/error occurs again before you have the opportunity/money to get it repaired/replaced.Pays for itself the first time you use it.Liked it so much I bought another one right away after the first one was stolen!!Highly recommend.

I purchased this to reset my SRS and TCM codes after repairs. The scanner did not work through the OBDII port under the steering wheel so, I bought an adapter (iCarsoft Benz-38 PIN Diagnostic Adapter). I used the 38-pin connection under the hood with the adapter hooked up to the iCarsoft MB V1.0 Scanner cable, and it worked perfectly!Great customer service and communication to help me figure this out.MY CAR: 1998 Mercedes Benz C230 - W202 chassis.

Didn’t do as much as I thought it would. I have a ‘00 ML55 ‘01 clk55 coupe and ‘02 clk55 cabrio. Can only be connected through 52 pin connectors on the clk. My ‘17 craftsman car scanner and any newer one is much better for the money. In a pinch it may be able to clear srs and trans faults but really only created an issue with my 02’s radio. Depending on what you need much better options out there. I feel like I wasted my money.

This scanner works well for my 2009 Mercedes ML550. Very easy to use . Goes through all the systems.

It worked for two months, now screen completely blank. contacted icarsoft and they said shipping is to expensive to send in for service. Horrible customer service, basically does not exist. Money better spent somewhere where the product lasts.Update: the seller on Amazon made it right. They are sending me a new unit. My recommendation, purchasing from the seller here and DO NOT go to icarsoft directly.

Works great with my w210. Was able to reset the TCM after a conductor plate r&r. This allowed me to fix my transmission.

What a device!This scanner is built like it came from Mercedes-Benz, former factory trained service tech talkin here.Very nice instructions & zip up carry case, CAN/BUS cable is removable & screws on like a computer Bus cable, really sweet.Just read everything, then bin the manual & follow all the prompts.If it fails You marfed something somewhere, check again.My VIN couldn't be recognized at first but next thing I knew it saved My VIN & went to work, so just be patient.Took Me 5 minutes to figure it out, clear codes, & slide it into it's pouch.I think this is an exceptionally fine quality machine that should last indefinitely if it wears as well as it looks feels & works.I will update if something fails, cheers.

Was not capable of scanning all systems in my 1999 W202. If you have an older Benz that use the round 38 pin connector it may not work as expected even after doing the latest software update.

Mir gelang es am Sprinter den Service zurückzusetzen. Am Smart 451 nicht. Allgemein funktioniert es am Smart nicht befriedigend.
