Better than others
So i have 16 armcrest cameras all 4k mixed between these dome ones and bullet ones. I see no actual quality or anything different between the two. I will say that installing these ones are way better than the bullet ones. This one has a a mounting bracket that goes up first so there is no weird angle screwing in screws. Good quality pictures with some good options. My only complaint is that with the bullets you get the QR code to scan making it easier to setup and connect to your system. These ones do not have to QR code so you have to search for it on your network to add. If you have the armcrest NVR it is easy since it will find it and give you the i.p. I will be buying more as my older qsee cameras go out. I just hope since these are also China cameras/ company now that they work long enough. I had an old swann ayatem that is still running after 15 yrs.

Confirmed not to work on LTS DVR.
There's another review saying these are locked to Amcrest DVRs. I'm not sure that's quite the issue. My LTS DVR had trouble scanning the signal. It picked up a very crisp, 4k black and white image, indicating that the color channels weren't interpreted correctly. After 15s the DVR gave up interpreting the signal and went black. But the camera stayed powered on and I think was still providing the signal that the DVR could not decode correctly. If you pull the BNC plug and reinsert you see the same broken signal for another 15s. The camera advertises many video formats. But unlike other cameras that have a DIP switch to select format, this has no such switch. I found another camera that looks nearly identical, like eerily looks like the same one with a different logo, but has a DIP switch to select format. That one behaved the same way as this one out of the box -- no color, lost signal after 15s. Until I switched the format to TVI. Then it worked perfectly. So the hardware is nice, I think it's the same you will find in a generic no logo Chinese camera, but it would seem that they removed hardware format selection and there is no DIP switch. Look for the generic one that looks the same but has a DIP switch.

Absolute amazing technology for the price
These Amcrest 4k cameras are so crystal clear, I can now read license plates. I bought the Amcrest 4k analog DVR a few years ago and just hooked it up to my old cameras. WHAT A HUGE COMPLIMENT THESE AMCREST CAMERAS ARE TO THIS DVR. I played a video for the police on my 80 inch 4k TV and the police were literally blown away by the quality of the video, not to mention I can now hear everything outside with these cameras. They thought I spent thousands on this system, but it’s all under $300 so far. Absolute amazing technology for the price.

Great analog cameras
Have had a DVR system for a few years now. Original cameras were 4MP. I upgraded the hard drive and have been swapping to these higher resolution cameras. This new one is great. It is actually smaller than my other Amcrest dome camera. It does not appear to have the microphone input lead but I never used it. Good quality for an analog with decent night vision too.

Quality it seems so far for 4K 8 megapixel
I purchased this adding to my existing system. I had a eight camera system now I have upgraded to 16 camera system and added one camera so far. I want to say I paid about $800 or $900 for the old system with eight cameras which were rated about 3 or 4 megapixel I thought about 6 or 7 years ago. The new camera I added which is this listing is supposed to be 8 megapixel. I don't see how the bottom picture is the new camera the top picture is the old camera. Even when you look at the lines of resolution on the camera it's much or less than the other ones. It's my worst quality camera by far. I'm not sure of others are having the same issue. Shipping was great and quality looks good I guess I'll keep it because it was only $60. I just kind of let down by the quality of the picture.

Power Supply problems.
Bought this camera as an addon for my Amcrest system this will be Camera # 12. I installed it at an approximate distance of 40' away from the the DVR using a 100' cable, the camera will power up but the picture quality dropped. Finally figured out the Camera needs a power source very much closer to the camera position, this would mean installing a power source for this camera alone, an expensive proposition. Not undertaken.

Great camera
These cameras are an excellent value. They perform well, we have several of them, some have been outdoors and running for several years.
