Has anyone listened to both this and the svs pb16? i've seen the numbers but i'm curious how they compare in real life.

Yes but in two different rooms so it didn't compare. My buddy has two of these in a 17 x 15 and it pressurized the crap out of the room. they hit every note which is very surprising. I have two of the normal monolith 15s in my theater now and was running HSU flagship before and I can tell you that I monoliths hold notes better and dig much much deeper.
