Great little desk fan!
Noise: The fact that this is rated as a bit noisier than other fans this size is a huge plus for me. I need sound when I sleep. I chose this fan simply because some people said it was "noisy", I did not want a "whisper quiet" fan. On the lowest setting it is fairly quiet. Settings 2 and 3 it is quite a bit louder. Fine by me! I have tinnitus and where I live there's also some road noise and this fan helps block both out. Cooling: I have this clipped on a desk in our guest bedroom (which I sometimes sleep in instead of the master), even on the lowest settings I can feel the air from the bed which is about 5 feet away. Settings 2 and 3 provide a strong breeze at that distance. Features: The swivel and the tilt are both great. I can easily swivel it at me if I'm sitting at the desk then point it back towards the bed when I lay down. The clamp seems sturdy & strong. Looks: At this price point it's probably the best looking of the small personal fans. Size: About 9 inches tall and about 7 inches wide. Durability: Can't comment as I've only had it a week. Hoping it last a long time. I usually only run it at night. I do also have a larger room fan from Vornado and that thing has worked great for years and is still alive so I decided to go with this fan based on my past experience with the brand.

Works great, feels great, impressive value!
Really nice for the price! Clamps on effectively even on my table top that has a pretty heavily chamfered edge. Wasn't sure if it would hold since less than 1/2 the clamp is on a flat surface on the underside, but it's holding really well. Easily adjustable, pretty quiet (especially at lowest setting) but moves a good amount of air across a small desk space. Doesn't look too bad either.

Fan, not circulator
This is probably great as a desk fan blowing directly on one, though it isn’t very quiet. It is sturdy and cute. If you need white noise and like a fan blowing directly on you, it works very well. I got this to circulate stuffy air from inside to outside, but it doesn’t do this very much. Tried attaching the fan to the windowsill with the fan aimed outside to exhaust the inside air. Then tried turning the fan around to pull outside air in. Either way, the high indoors CO₂ level did not seem to improve any faster with the fan turned on than it did with just the window open and no fan. I didn’t do a carefully controlled, timed test; I just was surprised at how little difference there seemed to be. It moves air, just not any distance. I’m keeping it because I can use it as a fan, not as an air circulator.

Excellent Clip-On Fan
This Vornado clip on fan is great and mighty. Who can compete with Vornado really? I have their Vintage metal fans in each room. They last forever. I bought two of these clip on fans. I keep one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. This one is set up on a bookcase, so it isn’t the greatest setup and does wobble a bit. It has fallen off because it really needs the side to be the same flat side all around. However, my fan seems to bulge inward and isn’t complete flat itself. It isn’t the quietest fan, but I’m a fan of fan noise, so it doesn’t bother me. I do think it could potentially bother someone who is bothered by fan noise because it is pretty loud even on the middle setting. The dial is in the back as all Vornado fans are, which makes it challenging. When it has fallen off, it’s been because I’m reaching behind to adjust the speed. By far, it is the BEST clip on fan I’ve ever had and potentially the best on the market at this time. I tried a Lasko and Holmes before this Vornado and neither worked for me. This Vornado is compact and gives off a much stronger flow of air. It’s the smallest out of all that I’ve tried, looks like the most durable (definitely the thickest plastic and metal rotating pieces), and modern construction, so the look was appealing. It rotates fully around and swivels up and down, so you can really angle it in so many ways, which is appealing. I was going to give it 4 stars and realized after writing this review that it really deserves 5 because it goes above and beyond for a clip on fan. I highly recommend this fan and all Vornado products. They’re stylish and so functional.

Mediocre airflow. Average noise
So, I read a lot of reviews before buying this fan. Typically a fan of this diameter is going to make a lot of noise without making a whole lot of airflow. Especially if the blades are thick plastic. But there were a whole lot of reviews saying that the airflow was decent and the noise wasn't that bad. I'm not sure what they were comparing it against, but honestly the $5 USB-powered fan that I was using as a backup fan was substantially more powerful than this one. And other than the rattle from the lousy build quality on the USB fan, it was quieter than the Vornado. By that, I mean that the fan blades and airflow produced more noise on the Vornado than the fan blades and airflow on the USB fan. I attribute this to the thick plastic blades on the Vornado and the thick slats on the housing. That being said, I've gone ahead and done a stupid experiment for you all. I attempted to remove the front grille, to reduce drag, hoping to determine whether the slats were causing a net reduction in air flow. Long story short: Don't attempt this. 1. While attempting to remove the front grille I snapped a slat clean out of it. It's not easy to remove and I don't recommend trying. 2. Once I'd broken one slat, I figure I'm burning a $25 fan anyway, so I might as well break out all the slats. It's DEFINITELY less effective with the slats removed. That front grille is definitely acting as a set of static vanes and is helping to convert rotational velicity to axial velocity. So don't remove them. Anyway, it's a pretty fan (less so now that I've mangled it) but it doesn't move all that much air. To be honest I've had this same complaint about Vornado fans for the past 20 years. I honestly think their engineers are more focused on the white noise profile than they are on air circulation. TL;DR : If you really want to move air and/or you don't love noise, look elsewhere. If you want a cute looking desk fan, this isn't a bad choice. But don't expect it to cool you off in a heat wave.

Quality, quiet, strong clip, adjustable direction, 3 adjustable speeds, corded.
Excellent. I was looking for a small desktop fan that I can point at some external hard drives (server stuff) to keep them a bit cooler 24-7. I wanted something that was quiet and had a lower speed option because I don't need to blast these drives with a ton of air. This vornado pivot clip fan hits all of those needs well. The lowest speed is nice and quiet. The clip is strong. Once clipped to a surface, it allows for easy change of direction. It is higher than average quality. It's been running for about a week and, so far, it's doing exactly what I hoped for. It is a step up from the cheap clip-on fans you find at Walmart or Home Depot.

Arms Reach ONLY (ideal distant for functionality)
I have two of these fans, I find the aesthetic more professional than most fans thus I think it makes a great device in an office setting or anywhere with modern decore. While it works well it’s clearly designed to be within arms reach as it does not work well at distances beyond that. When I set it up at about a leg’s length away (over 3.5 feet) it just cannot push air that far away. Even in it’s highest setting the air is barely detectable - lower and slower than the lightest breeze. I believe this is a great fan if it is within arms reach, much beyond it’s usefulness fades quickly. I was surprised how much better a fan only twice this size would work beyond arms reach. It makes a pleasant white noise not unlike a noisemaker, but softer and more pleasing to my ear. Thus I think it may help some focus in noisy office environments when a steady white noise might make errant sounds standout less. Dual purpose desk machine which works great when it’s close by.

It had one job
I normally don't write a review, but this fan is so bad it warrants one. First, it's not all bad, the build quality isn't bad, it clips to the desk security and looks good but that's kind of where it ends. First, the swivel isn't tight so it will move easily and makes it difficult to get into position as the power cord will easily move it so you will need to consider the cord when positioning it. The biggest issue? It just doesn't work, it moves next to no air unless you're right on top of it and despite it being loud, it does nothing. The most important thing for a fan to do, it fails at. Save your money and find a different fan.

Aesthetically very pleasing and good quality little fan.
Used for almost a year. Still works. (Sadly, these days that in itself is something to note). It looks nice. Yes, it is a fan and it does makes noise like all fans tend to do. It's to my personal taste not too noisy on the highest level. The fan looks and feels like a quality product. My only minor complaint is that the clip on's limited width does not allow it to clip on some thicker table or window sills . But, overall good purchase and I can certainly recommend this fan.

The best for its small ish size.
Excellent size and power (for its size). Quality is the best ive seen for a fan of this price. Power is adequate at the lowest speed, and very good at higher 2nd and 3rd speeds. Get a bit noisy at the 3rd speed but that is to be expected for any desk fan. The clamp has nice rubbery padding that prevents the table from being scratched/damaged when it is installed. Swivels up and down and 360 degrees horizontally when clamped, a nice adjustment touch.
