Q: If i buy quantity of 2 will it be a continuous roll of 24"x48" or 2x 12"x48"?

Although I haven't ordered it that way, my roll shows no evidence of being slitter cut, so I think that you'd get (2)12"x48" rolls.

Q: Would this film be heat resistant enough for the purpose of adhering to a bright LED lamp to soften/warm the color?

It didn’t soften the light that I used it for, instead gave it a yellow output ( like I wanted )

Q: Do I remove both films or just one?

Remove the first ( on the sticky / tacky side ) and apply to your project. Once done you would remove the protector layer from the other side.
