I honestly wasn’t sure if a cat food could make a difference for someone with allergies, but Purina LiveClear Pro Plan has been a complete game-changer for both me and my cat. I’m allergic to cats, but after switching to this food, I can pick my cat up and even sniff her without any irritation—it’s truly amazing! Eatability: My cat absolutely loves it. She digs right in every meal, and I’ve noticed she actually eats her portions consistently without leaving bits behind. Smell: The kibble has a pleasant aroma that even I can tolerate (and I’m very sensitive). My home no longer has that strong “cat food” smell, which is a huge plus. Health & Nutrition: You can feel confident that this food is backed by science. It’s formulated to reduce the allergen proteins in your cat’s hair and dander, which is why it works so well for allergy sufferers. Plus, my cat’s coat looks shinier and she seems more energetic—definitely a sign of great quality nutrition. My cat allergy is mild/moderate (sniffly, sneezing, itchy throat, red puffy eyes, dermatitis around eyes). Allergy meds just weren't cutting it so I took the plunge and tried this. It was really effective for me; within a few weeks my symptoms were gone. My cat could sleep on my pillow and rub against my face and I had no flare-ups. It was like I wasn't allergic at all. Both cats I've had like it a lot, too. Chow right down on it, meowing for it, seems to keep the coat glossy and energy up. It's pricey, but worth it for me; it's basically the only way I can have a cat at all.

This cat food is literally a life saver!!! I always loved cats and was pretty depressed when my allergies made it impossible for me to be around cats. I found this food in a desperate attempt to have a kitty companion during the pandemic and after a month of him eating this food (along with the Purina allergy bath foam and vacuuming often) I stopped having allergic reactions to our cat! I can't express enough just how much I love this cat food thank you for the developer's behind this amazing formula!!! ❤️ Thanks to you I get to have cats and be healthy!

My grandson is allergic to cat gander. Someone told me about if I use this it will help. And it absolutely does. He has been able to visit granny for an afternoon without getting itchy, eyes and sneezing. We haven’t moved to a sleepover yet but I’m hoping that will come soon. My cats eat it well so they are happy also.

It has only been a few days so I need more time for observations to see if there is actually a reduction in the allergens associated with the hair and dander. My only suggestion to Purina is it would be awesome if this product can get an upgrade with healthier and better quality ingredients without the corn gluten meal and the poultry-by-product meal. That’s the only reason why I’m not giving it a 5 star due to the lower quality ingredients when compared to his current cat food. Otherwise, my cat is crazy about it like it's cat food on catnip! There was no transition period needed. He just gobbled it down like there’s no tomorrow! As far as taste goes, Purina sure got it down! Update: May 22: it’s been over a week since I’ve switched the cat food to Purina Pro Plan Live Clear. My cat still loves the food and I’m considering keeping him on it permanently just based on observations that my cat really craves it. I still have not notice any significant reduction in the allergies in my household. I am still sneezing constantly but that could be due to the high pollen's and allergens in the local area. I believe it will take a little longer for the full effects of the food to see real changes in my case. I’m highly sensitive to allergens so anything could set me off but I don’t seem to be sneezing or undergoes what I called an “allergic attack” when the cat rubs his body on my face so that’s a positive note. Update: May 26, based on my observations and analysis over the past few weeks. I can certainly say that the Purina Live Clear actually works. My cat has been spending more time with me and have been unusually needy and friendly by sleeping on top of my head and rubbing his body close to my face. As sensitive as I am to allergens; I have not been sneezing or get itchy eyes/skin. Judging from the product promises of reduction in allergens and taste-wise ; I would give it a 5 star. However, for the overall assessment of the product, I would give it a 4 and a half star due to some questionable ingredients such as corn and poultry by products. June 1 update: After several weeks of observations, I’ve noticed that my allergies are none existence. My cat is happy. June 12 Update:. His food ran out recently and my cat refuse to eat to his old cat food so I had to reordered a new batch for him. 5 Star!!!

It’s hard to tell if there was a difference as far as dander, I live with my roommate who also has a Cat. Both cats ate this food, and it’s my son that has cat allergies. I did not notice a reduction in his symptoms. So unless you clean your entire house, and then see if this food does reduce the amount of dander, it’s very hard to gauge. It would be nice to know if there is a length of time you need to feed your animal this, and then you have to take him to consideration the environment you are living in. I believe you would have to do a decent cleaning, then attempt to feed this to your animal and see if it works. Maybe it’s a two fold thing that you also have to use the Purina dry shampoo as well. As far as what this product is saying, it will deliver, I think this can be categorized under false advertising. They are charging more money for a product that unless you are constantly carrying your cat around with you, or have someone with severe allergies, it’s gonna be very difficult to tell if this cat food really delivers or not. I’m rather disappointed. I could’ve bought the same cat food for a fraction of the price and had the same outcome. Air purifiers are the way to go. So save your money for one of those.

Works exactly how they describe it. I usually have some mild breathing issues, issues with skin getting itchy, and eye/ear itching from cats. We started our cat on this and our kitty is able to get right up in my face and rub against me with no issues now.

I'm a new cat mom and had previously been feeding my 3 y/o cat some food that the previous owner had left me, which lasted for about a month. I was living away from home but I knew my siblings were slightly allergic to cats, so I tried this out to see if it'd work before coming home for the holidays. As the packaging says, after about 3 weeks, I noticed that her dander and cat hairs had reduced! I bribed my brother to hang out with her and test to see if any reaction would happen. He pet her, let her climb into his lap, and played with her. After about 30 minutes, he said that he was starting to feel a slight itch in his eyes but nothing unbearable; he said it was a LOT better than the first time he met her (while she was on the previous diet). My cat is a bit over weight and tends to eat way too fast, so I feed her four small servings (4x 1/8 cup; every 4-5 hours) a day to make up a 1/2 cup - I do this so that she doesn't throw up her food. Someone else mentioned this in another review, but this food definitely made her poop SMELL, so be prepared to look out for buried treasures and scoop em out asap! She just finished the chicken & rice 3.5 bag so I just ordered a salmon & rice bag to test it out. The price is a bit more expensive, but I found that this was pretty effective!

I’m really impressed with Purina Pro Plan LiveClear Chicken & Rice Formula. My cat is usually a bit fussy, but she actually looks forward to meal time now, which is a huge win. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is with my allergies—since switching to this food, my symptoms have definitely improved. Her coat looks shinier and healthier, too. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have cat allergies at home. Big fan of Purina products in general and have always used their products.
