I don't think so. It's a left and right single wire. No plus and ground.

Can the xlr connector be opened to change pinout -pin 3 to rca center pin (hot) not pin 2 for otari mx5050 tape deck- i realize soldering is required

I just checked my set and yes the XLR can be opened. Be careful though it’s a quick connect type XLR female. Hope this helps.
