Quality Product
I purchased this item based on suggestions from several acquaintances. There is not much to say other than the product is excellent, one of the best pencil sharpeners I have ever used. The two sharpeners are perfect for crafting the pencil exactly how you want. I have yet to use the mechanical pencil lead sharpener, but I do not use mechanical pencils, so that will probably stay unused. The device works great and I suggest it to anyone, it is cheap and well put together.

Absolute best pencil sharpener ever.
I don't think there's a hand sharpener available that does a better job than this one. It makes perfect points to draw with, and you can choose a little more blunt or delicately sharp. You can use this to sharpen leads from a lead holder to perfect points and this does a far better job than the messy Staedtler Barrel sharpener. It comes with replacement blades which are so easily swapped out.The downsides of this sharpener is the plastic hinged door wears out over time and eventually breaks. I have taped them down in the past. It does last pretty long, I'm talking a year or two with near daily use, and the door can certainly be replaced, but I have not been able to source replacement doors, and it's just cheaper and convenient to purchase a new sharpener. One other extremely nominal bit of feedback to give is I miss the old matchbox style case for it. I have been reusing the older case for years since they changed it.

THE best manual pencil sharpener ...hands down!
I absolutely LOVE the 2 step process, 1st shaving the wood and then the pencil tip. This long tip is EXCELLENT for details. Just what I have been looking for after my electric one started chewing up my expensive pencils. What a gem!! The only con I found is it doesn't hold much shavings and you have to empty often but the ease of the case is great. Also, there are tiny specs of shavings that escape the casing during sharpening (suggest not using it over top of a WIP. But LOVE LOVE LOVE this and will buy again when I run out of the 2 replacement blades it comes with!

Works as advertised
This little sharpener produces a nice long point with a needle sharp tip. Worked perfectly on Staedtler Lumographs, Faber-Castells, Generals, and an assortment of other random cheapie pencils I tried it on. The only pencil I couldn't get it to properly sharpen was a Prismacolor Ebony, which has an abnormally large lead diameter. That *may* be due to user error, but I doubt it. As others have stated, the compartment that holds the shavings is small, so it fills up fast. Another thing of note is that the lid covering said compartment has a hinge which is just thin, flexible plastic. After many openings and closings, I suspect this hinge will break. That'll be years down the road (if it ever happens at all). Came with a couple spare blades. It was a little pricey for a hand-held sharpener, but the blades look to be a cut above your typical sharpener. I'm satisfied with its performance.

This sharpener made me realize I had been sharpening my pencils wrong for my entire life.
Not really exaggerating. I love this sharpener. It's pretty much my go-to gift for everyone in my life. I use many different sharpeners for work, but this is my all-time favorite sharpener for several reasons:1. It has a two-step sharpening process. Unlike most sharpeners that chew down your pencil like an insane beaver every time you need to get a sharp point, this sharpener has a long point sharpener that just shaves the lead into maximum pointy-ness without shaving down the wood.2. In addition to the two sharpeners for your standard pencil, this model Kum also has two lead sharpeners for your mechanical pencil leads!FYI: this is the only model Kum that has the additional mechanical pencil lead sharpeners. Their other models, including the Blackwing Pencil model do not have these two extra sharpeners.3. It comes with 2 replaceable blades which doubles the life of this sharpener.4. You can buy additional replaceable blades! In a world where most products are engineered for forced obsolescence, how cool is it that you can buy spare parts for your tiny sharpener instead of having to replace the whole unit once your blades get dull?5. It's light. I am a purse minimalist & carry a tiny bag. But this sharpener goes into my purse every day.6. It's inexpensive. This is one of the few products I own that actually improves my life, in a small way, on a daily basis. How many things--especially things that cost less than $10--can I say that about?7. It works like a champ. This sharpener works better than 90% of the sharpeners out there & works better than 100% of the other sharpeners in its price range. My only complaint about this model is the color. I think Kum sharpeners look way swankier in black.

Great for travel art kit
I like to use both normal sketching pencils as well as 2mm lead holders. I keep both in my travel backpack. Previously I had to keep 2 sharpeners in there to accommodate both sizes, but this sharpener replaces both of them, so it's a 5-star winner just on the convenience. That said, it's also a great sharpener. Blades do a great job getting nice tips for drawing, and the mess is securely contained until I'm near a trash. I like the 2-stage tip created for normal pencils in particular, while the 2mm tip has a good taper too.

Lid breaks easily and typical replacement blades don't quite fit
First the lid broke off after a month of use. Then, after I used the replacement blades that come with it, I replaced one blade with an M+R replacement. It's not quite right, the point breaks. The difference between Kum blades and M+R blades isn't much, you can't see it unless you put one blade over the other and compare the outline, but it's enough to throw off the alignment. This is a decent sharpener if you don't use your sharpener often. It does a good job of pointing 2.0mm leads, and it makes good long-point on pencils. However, it won't last long, and replacement blades are hard to find. After six months of steady use, I'm ready to toss it into the trash. Overall, I do not recommend this sharpener.
