Moleskine Cahier Journal, Soft Cover, Large (5" x 8.25") Ruled/Lined, Black, 80 Pages (Set of 3)

A friend introduced me to fountain pens and Moleskine on the same day. I discovered I like to write when I have a good pen in my hand and quality paper to write on. The Cahier Journal is the perfect size being large enough to capture lengthy thoughts but small enough to carry conveniently in alongside a tablet, in a computer bag, or about anywhere. The paper is sturdy enough to stand up to the heavier ink of the fountain pen without being too thick. The texture is soft and works for pen, pencil, and the ink of a fountain pen. Writing just flows on the page and makes note taking enjoyable. The right stuff does make a difference. I will always use Moleskine journals.

The older I get the more I believe in "buy once, cry once." Spend a little more money on good quality products that get the job done, need to be replaced less often, and generally make your life better. I thought Moleskine was for snobs and didn't see anything wrong with a $1 spiral. Then I went back to school, and realized what a pain spirals are. I started taking notes on Ampad narrow ruled paper with a double thick pack, micro-perforated at the top. This works great for general lecture notes, but sometimes you need a notebook. For example, I'm a literary studies major and one of my profs requires a reading journal. I have to turn in the whole thing several times a semester. I had purchased a Moleskine planner (because it had Peanuts characters on it, mainly) and fell in love with the smooth, supple paper and narrow ruled lines. I thought I might try the cahier journals because they are not terribly expensive in the kraft paper version. I had my husband, an artist, decorate the covers. They are perfect notebooks. Great size, sturdy, well-sewn, lay flat, the lines are beautifully narrow, the paper is luxuriously smooth and thin without being too thin, and in general they are a joy to write in. Definitely worth about $5 a piece or more. I use a Bic Atlantis pen which is extremely smooth-writing so these two together - each stroke of the pen is like a stick of buttah.

They're a bit expensive, but they work well as journals and notebooks. In packs of three, I get a lot of pages but I'm not lugging around a larger book in my bag when I'm out and about. Alternatively, I can use each book for a different purpose, planning or notes or whatever. The lines are spaced well, printed lightly (not too light to see) and this size makes writing easy. It's wide enough that I'm not constantly resting my hand on the edge. The thick paper cover is durable enough to protect the pages, but it will likely get tattered edges if you have it in your backpack or shoulder bag.

I always enjoy Moleskien journals. The quality is well worth the money. The Cahier Journal has 16 perforated pages in the back, making it easy to tear some pages out. If you need all fo the pages to be perforated you will need a different Moleskine style. I find these ruled versions very easy on the eyes, and keep my writing in check.

I purchased these to make custom journals and sketchbooks. I wanted a blank, sturdy cover to handle not only gesso but acrylic paints, transfers, and mediums as well. This notebook has exactly that, and this is one of the most durable non-hardback notebooks I've seen yet. The back cover is actually a folder/flap to hold papers (which easily tear out of parts of the book). The binding is nice, the paper quality is fantastic (both lined and blank). I was very surprised at how great the paper was with graphite, charcoal, and ink given the price. This is definitely a great value for students and art enthusiasts on a budget. The size varieties are nice, ranging from pocket size to full notebook.

Well worth the price! they are well made; not expensive and not too bulky. Perfect for anyone looking for a personal or business use journal.

These are great. I love how they are plain but high quality. The beige cover can be decorated or left plain to your liking and the pages are thick and high quality.

Da quando mi sono stati regalati per la prima volta, non posso più farne a meno! Le misure sono appena più piccole di quelle di un quaderno grande, il ché non rappresenta affatto un neo e anzi rendono i quaderni ancora più comodi. Ottima la carta, bellissima la copertina in cartone, utilissime le tasche esterne. Gli ultimi fogli sono predisposti allo strappo, in modo da poter essere utilizzati per "appunti volanti". Per questo consiglio di fare un po' di attenzione verso le ultimissimee pagine, perché piegare o allargare troppo il quaderno rischia di farne staccare qualcuna.

Buscaba un cuaderno que cupiera dentro de un organizador de piel y el tamaño es perfecto, cabe sin problema en las tapas del organizador, el encuandernado es de muy buena calidad y el papel excelente, es de rayas.
