Can anyone compare this to the Fiskars X27 Splitting axe? To me it's the ULTIMATE axe of all times. Cuts through everything. Thanks.

If you ever use one you will never go back the only thing is they could put a longer collar guard just for over strikes. I have never used a fiskars but I know when you hold one of these in your hand you know it is made by hand by somebody that take's pride in their work. I have split about 25 cords and just sharped 3 times. It holds a great edge. I know it's a bit pricey but I think you get what you pay for here.

Anyways, moving on, I am SO curious why you need a handle replacement?

B/c I've owned this tool & I've accidentally hit the neck of the handle, right below the maul head, on the edge of logs, on the edge of "wedges" I've used.. & it's held up really good b/c of that metal guard around the neck.

So if you've read this far. Thanks. There is no link to a replacement handle that I know of.

YOUR BEST BET, in this particular case, would to be search locally.. & see if you can find yourself a good handle.
