Mattel Games Giant UNO Card Game, Ages 7+, Players 2-10

Just like regular Uno, but it's BIG. Bought this for my sister and she absolutely loved it! Although it's hard to shuffle because of the size, but super fun to play with!

I loved these giant uno cards. It made playing the game a new level of fun as adults we kept dropping them and trying to hide them from each other . The only downside is that these are difficult to shuffle. They are as large as described and were easy to play with.

We bought this Giant UNO card game and have had a blast playing it with family and friends. The oversized cards make it really fun. It’s become a go-to game when we have people over — lots of laughs and good memories already. The cards are sturdy enough for regular play but they do tend to bend a bit, especially with a lot of shuffling and excited hands. That’s just the nature of giant cards though, nothing too surprising. Overall we’re happy with it. It’s a simple, entertaining game that brings people together. Good quality for the price and worth picking up if you want a bigger version of classic UNO for group fun.

Love this game for parties. Everyone laughs at the size of the cards but the laughs keep coming throughout the game. Fun!

Every family has a game that tears it apart. For some, it's Monopoly. For others, it's Risk. For mine, it has always been UNO. We've lost cousins to UNO. We've had Christmases cut short by UNO. My Aunt Linda hasn't spoken to my Uncle Ray since a Wild Draw 4 incident at Easter 2009. Nobody remembers the details. Everybody remembers the screaming. So naturally, when I saw that Mattel now makes UNO three times bigger, I thought: what if the betrayals were also three times bigger? I clicked "Buy Now" with the trembling hands of a man about to start a war. These cards are 5 inches by 8 inches. That's not a playing card. That's a placard. That's the size of a protest sign. When you hold a full hand, it looks like you're carrying a fan of restaurant menus. I dealt the first hand at family game night, and my 7-year-old nephew disappeared completely behind his cards. We could only see his little feet. Every few turns, a tiny voice would come from behind the wall of cardboard and say, "Skip." We'd all go silent. We'd never seen it coming. He was untouchable. The real magic of Giant UNO is the play. When you slap a normal card down on the table, it's a small, petty act. When you slap down a GIANT Wild Draw 4, it lands with a THWACK that rattles the dishes. My brother-in-law Brad (yes, CrossFit Brad, the kettlebell guy) had one card left. He was smiling. He'd already said "UNO." He thought he'd won. And then I stood up, held a 5-by-8-inch Wild Draw 4 high over my head like the Ten Commandments, and slammed it on the table so hard the gravy boat jumped. The card cast a shadow over his entire side of the table. His wife gasped. His kids hid under the table. He drew four giant cards, each the size of a paperback novel, and quietly whispered, "Did I mention I do CrossFit?" Nobody responded. We had all moved on. Then there's the eternal UNO debate: stacking. Can you put a Draw 2 on a Draw 2? Can you stack Draw 4s? Mattel has officially said no. Every family in America has officially ignored them. My family has gone to war over this exact rule. But Giant UNO includes TWO BLANK WILD CARDS where you can write your own rules. This is democracy. This is the Constitutional Convention. We spent forty-five minutes arguing over what to write. Finally, my mom took a marker and wrote, "Whoever Stacks Must Answer To Mom." Then she lit her "Mom's Last Nerve" candle in the center of the table. Nobody stacked. Nobody even considered it. It was the most peaceful game we've ever played. The second blank card was given to my nephew to write a rule. He thought about it for a long time, then wrote, "Dad has to talk like a pirate until the next round." Brad played the entire game saying "Arrr" and "Ye scallywag." It was the happiest moment of my life. We've laminated that card. It's a family heirloom now. Side effects may include: Forgetting to say "UNO" and being forced to draw two cards the size of dinner plates Using the Reverse card so dramatically that it becomes your entire personality Ending lifelong friendships with a single Skip Shouting "UNO!" so loudly that the neighbors start recognizing the sound of your game nights Hiding behind your enormous hand of cards like a soldier behind a bunker wall A thoughtful note: these cards are also color-blind accessible, with special symbols on each card so everyone can play. My Uncle Ray is color-blind and has always claimed he didn't know he was playing a red card on a green card. With the symbols, that excuse is gone. He's been exposed. Aunt Linda finally has proof. They're talking again. It took a giant card game to fix a 17-year rift. Mattel, you've done what decades of family therapy couldn't. Game Night Final Tally: one CrossFit brother-in-law devastated, one pirate created, one Wild card laminated, two estranged relatives reconciled, zero stackers, and a mom with her candle burning in the center of the table, watching us all like a referee who has absolutely no tolerance for nonsense. UNO? No. GIANT UNO. And nothing in this family will ever be small again.

OMG why did life take so long for me to find these. They’re super heavy to travel with in like a suitcase where pounds matter. But where it doesn’t matter where you can drive and travel with it. These are great to play on a family trip would recommend really fun.

If you’re familiar with this classic game, you’ll probably want to pick up this deck to have in your arsenal of games, if you still play board (type) games. I ordered it because I like to give a new/different board game to a family we’re friends with each year for Christmas so they can enjoy family time. We have had multiple decks of Uno ourselves, but tend to lose some of the cards, so the size of these make them much easier to keep track of. They are also larger than the expected 3x original size. They’re coated with a slick finish, which makes them resistant to dirt and water. But that also makes them a bit difficult to shuffle. The finish adds to their expected durability and should last for quite a long time. They also include the wild cards that can be customized by players to add to the fun, as long as they don’t get carried away. We used these over the holidays for numerous games with my 8 y/o niece up to the seniors in their mid-70s and had a ton of fun!

My elderly Mom can see these well & they are great for drinking events.

Somehow playing Uno with the giant cards are more fun than the normal sized ones. Lots of family fun and everyone enjoyed it.
