It did a great job of helping to highlight what key things to try and see and what food/drink places that were a cut above as well. It's small size made it perfect to carry around in my laptop bag without being bulky or in the way unlike some other tour guides that I have. The break down by neighborhood was really nice as well. I found this to be a great value for the cost, and I look forward to using it on my next trip there whenever that might be. Review: This is a great size guidebook for anyone who is visiting Japan - This is a great size guidebook for anyone who is visiting Japan. I am planning to visit Japan in March and this had helped me out a lot to plan ahead of time. There is a quick start guide, day planner, tips, recommendations for different shops, sights, and restaurants. It also includes a mini-map that could be pulled out with the tops sites and transits. I also like it includes a survival guide and Japanese phases in the end of the book. There is so much to info in this small guidebook.

Handy
Worked well in conjunction with online research before leaving the hotel for the day. It's the perfect size for throwing in your bag.

Super helpful, convenient size
We were just traveling in Tokyo for a few days before heading elsewhere in Japan, so this book was the perfect size for tips and guidance on our trip. It's much nicer carrying a book of this size rather than a heavy tour book. Even though it's short, it covers a lot of sections of Tokyo with short descriptions on what to see. Very helpful.

This book was EXTREMELY useful on my solo trip through Japan
This book was EXTREMELY useful on my solo trip through Japan. I used it constantly, and there is a super helpful detachable metro map at the back. I used it so much it ripped. Definitely buy this. They highlight whats important to see. No fluff

This book was great and I used it more than my full sized travel guide from another publisher. Well organized and had the maps and information I needed, all in a convenient size for a purse.

I highly recommend all their products
Lonely Planet...is the bomb. I highly recommend all their products, but only if you want to feel like an insider and not a Newbie.

Great little travel book!
Very informative! This will be incredibly useful for my trip to Tokyo! I like how it's laid out (by district). I especially appreciate the post in the back with useful phrases and the map!

Bought this for my trip to Tokyo, as I didn't want to carry my Japan guide (also LP of course) with me on a daily basis. I own around 20 LP travel guides, including several pocket guides and they are doing a fantastic job. They are very handy, contain all the necessary information, as well as some handy maps and insider tips. The most useful tip from the guide was to go up the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for amazing (and free!) views over Tokyo and even Mt Fuji on a clear day - instead of using Tokyo Tower or the Sky Tree. I used both maps (normal map and subway network) on a daily basis and cannot report any inaccuracies. I would definitely recommend the guide to anyone planning to visit Tokyo.

This item was bought in January 2016 for a trip in March 2016. Fast shipping. Item was n very good condition when it arrived. It was a perfect size to bring along during my trip. This was helpful during my planning for a trip that I did in Tokyo back in March 2016. It was easier to narrow down primary areas that I wanted to visit. Only downfall is the fact that there were no list of recommended accommodations.

Guía para el que tiene poco tiempo y no quiere perder mucho tiempo informándose sobre qué ver, hacer o visitar en Tokyo. Poca info sobre los alrededores de Tokyo.

Great tips and suggestions for day plans, good vocab for a holiday. It has helped us decide what to do on our stay and I can't wait to go to Tokyo even more now! Would recommend.

Really handy guide, especially for giving you information about the subway exits for the popular attractions. The Tokyo subway system is huge so knowing which exit you want at each station is very useful. The maps really only give the main street names, so we tended to use google maps to plan our route instead. The book doesn't weigh very much so will easily fit into your rucksack or handbag.
