Gerbs Raw Sunflower Kernels 2 lb.

I found this brand after my Dr requested that I eliminate all allergen type products from my diet for six weeks. It was very difficult to find a producer of sunflower seeds that met this criteria. Gerbs is certified allergen free, gluten free, and dairy free, plus they are kosher. This product is delicious. They have just the right amount of sea salt and have been roasted to perfection! I will definitely purchase again and highly recommend!

I wanted wholesome, lightly roasted sunflower seeds to add to our salads. This product hit the bull's eye. They are delicious! No ingredients but seeds and salt. I don't know about you guys, but after making a connection between certain food additives and complex seizures that my husband starting having about 5 years ago, we are attempting to make sure that we know what every ingredient really is on our packaged food labels. It turns out that when we were finally able to eliminate all flavor enhancers that are also excitotoxins (MSG, aspartame, among others) from our diet, my husband's seizures stopped completely. He's been seizure free now for almost a year. We stumbled several times by using products that listed "natural flavoring" and "spices" as ingredients. Those foods resulted in seizures. Now we mostly eat whole foods and watch food labels carefully for even things like organic granola, where MSG can be included in an ingredient like "Hydrolyzed vegetable protein." We learned the hard way, that we had to leave out all gum and breath mints because of the aspartame. One slip up can mean 3 days of seizures. Gerbs is awesome because they label every ingredient clearly and if an ingredient has gone through a process of some kind, like sweetening, those ingredients are labeled plainly as well. None of Gerb products we've looked at, contain anything but straightforward, non-GMO ingredients made in the USA. We highly highly recommend the roasted sunflower seeds and look forward to trying their other products. :)

Sunflower seeds good for human and animal consumption. Birds love these especially during bad weather conditions. Gives them plenty of energy to survive winter conditions. Great on my salads too. Unlike other bird seed offerings that are not made for humans, this one works for humans and animals. Recommend. Price a little steep but worth the excellent freshness and taste.

Nice quality

These are my favorite sunflower seeds! They taste really great and don’t have that fake, synthetic flavor that a lot of other brands have. I also love that they don’t leave an oily aftertaste, which makes them super enjoyable to snack on.

Definitely worth the buy these were delicious!

Best tasting seeds

I address in this review the answer to question WHICH ONES TO BUY. I don't understand the couple reviews telling reader what they do with sunflower seeds. You want to know WHICH to buy. Don't get Gerbs. Far superior are the ones by Hampton Distribution. Yeah that name, sort of cryptic. But I bought both and know. Gerbs are smaller sunflower seeds. Gerbs are more surface-y tasting (not depth of flavor). Gerbs are too salty. Get the Hampton Distribution sunflower seeds. They are larger. Have more flavor. And are much less salty. I used to buy two jars of a store brand. And then I'd mix the salted and un-salted sunflower seeds together. But, INSTEAD of Gerbs, buy the Hampton Distribution. They are the best. Better than Planters and better than store brands with the optimum level (low level) of salt.
