A quality scooter we'll grow into
I bought this for my son hoping it would last him for years. The quality is outstanding, it's solid, fast, and the battery life is great. Right now, he only uses it on the lowest speed setting and with me right beside him. It's more scooter than he needs, but I feel safe knowing it's built so well. I'm confident it will be perfect for him as he gets older. It's a fantastic product, but for younger kids, parents should be aware that it's very powerful and requires strict safety measures.

Great scooter at a great price.
We bought this scooter for our 10-year-old daughter and she loves it. This was her first electric scooter, so it took her a few minutes to get used to using the throttle... it accelerates quickly, so it will take off on you if you aren't used to it. That said, she got the hang of it relatively quickly, and she now enjoys a new found "kid freedom" and she zips through the neighborhood. I have to admit, I almost wish I was small enough to ride it myself! (Warning: the scooter has a weight limit for a reason... heed it!) Pros: Charges quickly; great tires for what is essentially a toy; not too fast, not too slow; 40 minutes run time (some may list "only" 40 minutes as a Con, but that's plenty of run time for my kid) Cons: Turning radius seems a little wide; brake/throttle cables run a bit too close to the front tire Overall: Pros far outweigh the cons; great buy

Very nice scooter
Now I have all 3 sizes. I had originally bought the E150 and the E300 for my grand kids. The E150 has an air tire in front but has a solid hard tire in back making it pretty noisy and bumpy riding for my grand daughter. I finally got around to getting her this E200 which does have the air tires in both front and back making it much smoother riding. Size wise the E200 is right in the middle between the E150 and the E300. It has the same size tires as the E150's front tire (the E300 has bigger tires). It's definitely faster than the E150 so my grand daughter has to be a bit more careful riding it (she was quite the little dare devil on the E150). So far I'm pretty happy with it. My grand daughter loves it and she has the scrapes and bruises to prove it. Lets put it this way. Your kids are going to crash on these things from time to time so be prepared. Same thing on bicycles, just part of growing up. My grand kids go through the ritual of "gearing up" before riding which is putting on elbow and knee pads, along with the helmet and fingerless gloves (also good to have full length pants on). Only way to scooter to keep them protected.

Super fun, super useful, but a wee bit awkward.
I'm a grown woman - about 130 lbs - and I use this for part of my commute cuz I'm lazy as heck. All told, I love this thing! It's really fun to ride around on and I get compliments on it everywhere I go (and I know those people are so jealous lol). However, I have noticed a few things that one might want to know about ahead of time. These aren't really even problems, which is why I'm not docking the product any stars for them - just information that I figure would be good for buyers to have: 1) The throttle doesn't really have a variable speed; it's pretty much just on or off, so when you let go of the throttle, be prepared to lurch a bit as the engine will rather suddenly stop, drastically slowing your roll (unless you're going downhill). Sometimes the same goes for starting - if the conditions are right, it may try to take off from under you if you aren't prepared for a sudden increase in speed. 2) In the description it says speeds up to 12 mph. Thus far I've topped out at about half that (6 mph, as in 1 mile in ten minutes). I have only been riding in the winter so far though, and that speed is what I got on "warmer" (40s F) days - on really cold (20-30s F) days I get to about 4 mph (1 mile in 15 minutes). So I suspect I'll get higher speeds in the spring and summer. And of course I'm assuming someone who weighs less, or isn't routinely carrying 10 lbs of computer with them, will get higher speeds. 3) Be very aware of how low to the ground this bad boy is. Slow down for speed bumps or you'll bottom out, and be aware of bumps in the road/sidewalk. 4) Allow yourself plenty of time to slow down for stops. It's got a brake, but if you try to brake too quickly it'll throw you more readily than a bike will (but you'll probably just clumsily jump off, rather than flying over the handle bars). 5) It is heavier than it looks and pretty awkward to carry. Just keep that in mind if you're going to be doing a lot of transferring like I do (getting it onto and off of city buses, carrying it up and down stairs).

Powerful, but managable, speedy Scooter for experienced children and adults
I got this for my granddaughter's seventh Birthday and I was worried that it would be too fast for her. She has been riding scooters without a motor for many months and has mastered them. I checked with her parents and they were ok with this model with its more powerful motor. She was a little afraid for the first day, but was buzzing around the driveway when I came back a couple days later. Very happy indeed!! I wish it had a speed control, even just Hi and Lo to help get the hang of it. But the gyroscopic forces that help keep it upright work better at higher speeds. (Please-check with parents if you are giving this to a child. My guess is it takes experience with a plain scooter and bicycle to ride this safely. My almost 6 year old grandson is very good with balance and typical athletic things, but cannot ride this scooter yet. Too scary!!) Much to my granddaughter's frustration, my adult daughter and her husband love it and scoot around in it all the time. Plenty of power and speed for them. Watch the manufacturers weight limits and keep an eye on tire pressure and other maintenance items in the manual.

Off to a rough start
I'm going to start off with a 1 star review. We'll see how Razor handles this. If you are ordering for Christmas, I think this is really relevant. If you - after reading this - agree then mark it as helpful so others can see as well. I ordered two of these from Amazon and they came a little slower than usual for prime, but arrived on Monday morning. I carried them up above the garage and they appeared to be unmolested. Tonight I went up and unboxed them, inspected them and put the handlebars on. I've already noticed a problem with the routing of the wiring going past the front tire that will need some zip ties to make sure it doesn't rub on one of them. Nothing spectacular, just make sure you check. They also both appear to need some air in the tires. I figured I would charge them before trying to air them up. All the paperwork says CHARGE them 12 hours first thing. Then I plugged them in to the chargers. I noticed right away that one of the chargers is glowing red, indicating it is charging. The other charger is glowing green, indicating a full charge. So I swapped them to see if maybe one battery was somehow sent fully charged. Nope, the same one is glowing green on the other scooter too. And the one that was charging the first scooter, is now charging the second scooter. And I'm praying I haven't somehow screwed up the charging cycles on the things because I had intended to leave them both charging all night together as they should. I have opened a ticket with Razor online because they are closed at 8:30pm EST and there is no chat or phone contact available right now. I will be interested to see what they do and how quickly. I realize this isn't the biggest thing that could happen, but when you are spending nearly $400 on two scooters (including an insurance plan which may be worthless) it is kind of frustrating to deal with this and worry that you might be not charging the scooters exactly as instructed when you had set out to follow the instructions exactly. I also realize we are talking about the $5 charger that is failed, but hey - don't they do quality control anymore? No, I doubt it - they didn't with this anyway. So why do I think this is important? What if you are the person who waits until Christmas eve to put this together. And you start to charge your scooter. And if you only had one... You wouldn't have Christmas. You'd have a dead scooter. I'm hoping that i haven't done any harm to the batter charging regimen. But I do have a charger that hopefully will survive double duty for a couple of days while they ship me (hopefully?) a new one. If they don't, then I'll go to Toys R Us and buy a new one, and then send this one back. Maybe THAT would make them think about QC? I'm really not the type of person who likes to do that sort of thing though, I'd rather have just gotten a working charger when I paid for it. Like I said, if they handle it well, I'll come back and update it based on how we end up liking the scooters. But we aren't "rich" and this is kind of their big present this year and it is frustrating to have it "not right" to start off with.

Great sturdy scooter, easy to set up
These scooters are great. My one daughter is 10 years old, 4‘1“ tall, and weighs 63 pounds and my other daughter is 12 years old 4 foot 11 and weighs 95 pounds and the scooter was perfect for both. They were Christmas presents and they only got a chance to ride them once but they were out with them two different times for 45 minutes each time and the battery held up great. I would definitely recommend using the nozzle extender for air on both the front and back tires. The directions say to use it on the back tire that you absolutely have to but using it on the front tire makes it so so much easier also

My daughter loves her scooter!
This is an excellent scooter. Charges easily and quickly. Goes a great distance and a good speed. Carries adults. We ended up buying two so friends over can scoot together. The kids love it when they come visit. It was my daughter's birthday gift.

Smoother ride than thought
Surprisingly decent fit for adult use (5'4''). Takes me up small inclines no problem. Used it continuously for up to 1 hour and battery still ok. Thought it was a bit heavy (37lbs) but the weight actually adds to a smoother ride for me. Waiting to take it out on the road but it's still quite icy out so will have to wait till the spring. Would buy again and maybe go for the E300 next time. Razor makes solid scooters.
