Great purchase for a young toddler, but has its problems.
This is a great nap mat for a young toddler -- my 2.5 year old loves it. The pad itself is very thick and soft. It serves as a great cushion between the napper and the floor (or whatever they're napping on). It's very comfortable. This nap mat definitely has a couple of drawbacks though:1) it's very warm - great for winter months, but I'm not sure how functional it will be in the summer months.2) as other reviewers have mentioned, it is very short. My 2.5 year old fits on it very nicely, probably won't in another 8 months or so.And 3) While this nap mat does roll up nicely and snap closed with an attached closure, the pillow does not fit inside the rolled up mat. Putting the pillow inside the rolled up mat results in not being able to use the attached closure as the 2 sides don't meet up properly. The only way to attach the pillow is to hang it on a specific spot on the outside of the rolled up mat. The location of where the pillow hangs is such that the pillow drags on the floor when carried by a child. This is definitely the most comfortable nap mat I've seen for sleeping, but also the most difficult to transport due to the pillow difficulty described above. It really just means that an adult needs to be the one to carry the nap mat, and you'll have to put up with a little inconvenience.

Product falls Short
The over all quality of this product is great, the material is soft and the memory foam is very sturdy, however this nap mat is much shorter (40 inches long) than the other nap mats sold on amazon. This nap mat was not long enough for my 4.5 year old to lay flat on. This product is really intended for a toddler age not preschool age children.

Great Nap Mat!
This is a very plush nap mat with nice fit and finish. My 2-year old transitioned from taking naps in a crib or play yard to a nap mat on the floor when she moved from home daycare to preschool, and she was comfortable enough that she napped on this mat on the first day without any prior exposure to it.The pillow can be detached from the mat and has a zippered case so that the insert can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement. The memory foam did have a slight odor that quickly dissipated after the mat was washed and aired overnight. The mat has been washed a handful of times without a problem. No pilling so far. Due to the thickness of the foam, the mat does come out of my dryer slightly damp after one cycle. The fleece material can be on the warm side during the summer months in Las Vegas. There is a place to write your child's name on the reverse side of the mat, and the entire mat easily rolls up for transport. I do wish the mat was a little longer in length, but I cannot complain about the quality for the price.Mother and child are very happy with this purchase! :)

Smelly Mat made of Polyurethane Foam
I purchased this mat for my 18 month old son for daycare. I initially loved that it was very soft and plush and good quality. However, it has a very, very strong smell to it that won't go away. It is made from 100% polyurethane foam fill and 100% polyester base with polyurethane coating. The packaging says it is made with the highest quality materials and complies with applicable child safety regulations and standards. I'm going to go with my gut on this one and listen to my inner Mommy voice that is telling me the polyurethane foam is not safe for my child, especially with the smell. I am going to get a mat that doesn't smell and is made from 100% cotton.

So far so great READ EDIT
The pad is about as thick as those memory foam bath mats. I doubt if it was any thicker it could be washable. It does seem to provide adequate padding for his naps on the commercial carpet at his school(that has no padding underneath). Like all memory foam it does have weird smell at first but it went away the first time I washed it anyway. It is a little shorter than the other nap pads, but then again he does not sleep stretched out, he tends to curl up a bit.The attached blanket, while very soft is kind of hard for him to use so I just send his favorite lightening McQueen throw .I am a bit curious about how it will hold up over the long run since we are required to wash nap bedding every week. I do wash on gentle and low dry for about 20 minutes , then complete the drying on a drying rack.Overall this seemed like the mat I would most like if I were buying for myself to use.EDIT: the foam on this flattened a lot after about 15 washes. I could not find a cover that would fit this . I am back to a 2" plastic mat with a body pillow cover. While not ideal it is at least sanitary and washable and is not losing its shape.

Perfect for preschool nap times
The memory foam makes this nap mat the Cadillac of nap times. When I was this age, I had a canvas nap bag for school that was like a potato sack! The blanket is soft yet durable for machine washing. I only wish she could roll the pillow into the mat for travel. If she puts it down on the floor, the pillow is not protected because it attaches to the outside of the roll.

Short
If it was a little longer, the pillow was attached and the cover was a little longer i would’ve loved it

Soft - even after washing
I was looking for a nice nap mat for my 2 year old to use at daycare. I took a chance on buying something online that I would normally want to touch/feel before buying and I couldn't be happier. Even daycare asked me where I got it because it's the nicest mat in his class. I was nervous about washing/drying with the thick memory foam material but it held up well and is even softer after the first wash than it was when it arrived new.
