Works great!
I have a small ~700 gallon Koi pond with a waterfall. The pong is about 4' deep. I've struggled for years with brown or green water that made it difficult to see the fish. My home grown filter was also a major pain to clean. I decided to purchase a "VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter, 1840GPH" filter along with a "VIVOHOME Electric 120W 2700GPH" pump and 20' of 1" flexible tubing. Setting up the filter and pump were straight forward and easy. Below are my observations about performance: After 24 hours I noticed a remarkable improvement. The water was a lighter shade or brown/green and I could see fish shapes about 6" deep. After 48 hours the water was light brown in color and I could see fish about 12" deep. After 72 hours the water was slightly brown but I could see about 4' down. As I write this, the filter has been running 96 hours. The water is crystal clear and I can see the bottom of the pond clearly and I'm completely satisfied with the filter and pump combination. When setting up the pond I located the pump at the far end of the pond and away from the water fall and placed it on a plant shelf about 12-14" deep. I located the pump here to improve water circulation and also to keep the pump out of the muck that accumulates on the bottom of the pool. The pump is pushing water through 20' of one inch tubing. The water fall flow is more than adequate, but if I had to do it over again I would have used 1 1/4" tubing for increased flow. I'm happy with my purchase. The filter is easy to clean and mess free, which was not the case with my old home grown filter. I should have done this years ago. I hope this review is helpful. Best wishes.

UV light filter quickly cleared pond of bad algae bloom
I recently built a 600 gallon pond incorporating this filter. I did not activate the UV light in this filter as I was trying to establish the good bacteria before adding fish. I ran pond for about 3 weeks before adding fish. Everything seemed great until a rapid daily temperature increase which caused a huge algae bloom. It was bad enough that I could not see the bottom of my 40" deep pond and seemed to cause the death of a fish due to oxygen deprivation. I plugged in the UV light on this filter as soon as I saw the algae bloom and within 2-3 days the water was completely clear again. I've read reviews for other types of much more expensive UV filters and algae killers that denigrate this type of UV light/filter combo, but in my experience this thing worked wonders quickly and likely saved the rest of my fish.

Excellent filter
I used the exact same filter for two years and it was excellent. It worked well and was very easy to use. When it finally stopped working, I bought a new one which took me about five minutes to hook up and then it worked beautifully and my water cleared up quickly. I highly recommend this product. It is well worth the price.

UV light unusable, Backflush does not work well.
Circuit breaker tripped within minutes of being plugged in. UV filter light had water leaking into chamber. Continued to use as a mechanical filter without the UV light. I feel like this does a great job filtering the water, and my pond is clear, but the back flush feature does not seem to work well in terms of getting the filter sponges cleaned, which cause the filter sponges to compress with waste/muck that then causes a very diminished flow (trickle) to my waterfall. I have 5 fish in a pond that is under 500 gallons and I have had to take the filter sponges out and hand clean 4 times in the couple short months that have been using it. It is very messy.

Vivo sent a replacement
I Ordered Vivo filter for $171 (with tax) in April 2023. I received it on April 13, 2023, Installed it in late May 2023 when the weather became warmer to work outside and to clean the pond. The filter cleaned well initially but after a month when the sun became more hotter, algae started forming in the water and settled in the floor of the pond. Water remained clear more or less and I cleaned any algae that were floating with my pond net, and also cleaned the pond filter as per the instructions that came with the VIvo Pond filter. Three weeks back (early August 2023) the entire circuit started tripping. After troubleshooting I found the Vivo Pond filter was the reason the line was tripping (i have GFCI circuit breaker). The pond pump and the Tetra UV filter are working fine but soon as I plug in the VIvio filter system, the circuit breaker trips. I sent couple of customer service request through Amazon which directs you to Vivo website but have received no response. Calls made have not been responded. Absolutely awful customer service! For a Pond filter that costed $171 breaking up within 3 months of installation is really shows the very bad quality of the system. On top of that no response from customer service is very annoying as this is still under warranty period and you would expect some sort of troubleshooting or replacement but if they dont respond at all then you have no option. Amazon sent an email after I put in the customer claim inquiring whether I received any response from Vivo and I responded stating "No Response". Haven't heard back from Amazon either since then. I am going to call Amazon customer service directly to see if they can help. But this is a very poorly constructed pond filter system and not worth $171 with an awfully poor customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND! PLEASE DONT BUY. Update 09/02/2023: customer service got back to me and today I received a new one. Changing my rating accordingly.

Best filter yet!!!
What a fantastic filter! Hi Joyce first Cleaning and he couldnโt have been easier. Last unit I had to take out the filters and hose each one down separately. This one I just backwash it turn the handle till itโs clear put it back into normal mode and refill the pond I wish I wouldโve bought this one sooner!

Don't Forget the Pump and Tubing!
Works great. Cleared the water in my small koi pond. Has the functionality of units costing much more. It was easy to install. PLEASE NOTE: to use this filter, you also need a pump (e.g., VIVOHOME 100W 1800GPH), hose (e.g., Sealproof 1" Dia. Corrugated Pond Tubing), and hose clamps. I noticed a reviewer below plugged in the unit and was surprised that nothing happened. The cord on the unit only powers the UV light (which is not to be plugged in unless water is running through the filter). My pond was built with a two-chambered underground box on the side that allowed water to enter the first chamber, go through a simple filter, and then be pumped to a small waterfall. I was able to put a new immersion pump in the first chamber, connect it to the filter with flexible tubing, and run more tubing to the top of the waterfall. The filter sits on the ground next to the pond, but there was enough tubing to hide the filter behind a bush. The instructions require a little interpretation, but I thought they were adequate. There is a small white disk included that is not directly referenced, but a statement "can close off one outlet when not in use" led me to realise it is used with one of the hose connectors to close off the third outlet. That outlet is used only when cleaning the filter.

Best Choice for a Pond Filter
I'd highly recommend this product. It is very easy to clean as you turn the nob to the clean option and turn the handle on top. It comes with many size attachments. My pond pump uses a 1 inch size hose, which this filter has so it fits perfectly. It cleared up my pond water so fast. I would not recommend leaving it out in winter because I did this and the UV light broke, so that's my own fault. With proper care and storage this filter will have a long life.

my go to pond filter!
Crystal clear water, easy to maintain and clean filter. I flush my pump 1 or 2 times a week... takes me 3-4 mins, no need to dismantle... just switch the outlet to clean, rotate the handle a few dozen times and wait till the water runs clean... the uv light works great to keep the algae down. I've got one of these in each of my ponds, both heavily stocked and my water is clean and clear.

Search YouTube for a โhow toโ video
Excellent product and works very well. Only concern is that the instructions are non existent. Had to watch a YouTube to figure it out. Took about 24 hours to clear my pond to crystal clear water! Fish are happy, Iโm happy and I definitely recommend.

Electrical UV Bulb soaked
Product was shipped successfully and was able to put it together very easily. Liked the product compared to my Laguna filter. In a couple of weeks, the filter UV light stopped working. I took it apart and saw the glass housing for the bulb was very wet, making the entire electronics malfunction. Im hoping the company will support a warranty claim.
