CTA Digital PS Vita Travel EVA Protective Case

I had read other reviews regarding this product... some reviews stated that the case had a really pungent odor that was so bad that the product needed to be returned. This was not the case with mine & it was the first thing that was paying attention too when I opened the package. I sniffed around the box before opening & it didn't smell so I pulled open a corner & still didn't smell anything... I pulled it out of the box & took a HUGE wiff right on the case... nothing, just the normal weird from factory new fabric smell... I don't even smell that anymore & I have had it for a week or so now. The other thing people complain about the elastics inside that hold the Vita in place. people have cut these off as they do not like them... this I feel is a preference, I personally like them. They stretch enough that I can get the Vita out without to much difficulty or damage to the system. They are tight enough that they hold the system in place comfortably. People say they tug on the analog sticks when they try to take the system out of the case but I dont find this to be an issue. I pull up on the elastic while grabbing the bottom corner of the system & put the elastic behind that side of the system I then lift the other elastic & slide out the system towards the side I already pulled the elastic off of. So again this is preference as to whether or not you want to snip them out. The case itself is nice quality & I feel if I dropped it from about waist high no damage would come to my Vita. The flap inside has space for a few games &/or Memory Cards... however I do find that these slots are a little to big for the Memory Card alone without some sort of small case (like what the SD Cards come in)... games have no issue fitting. There is a netting on the inside as well for small accessories... but not the AC adaptor... maybe a USB Cable and some ear buds are all that would fit. I personally have not used this section yet. All in all I find this to be a good purchase for the price as it is good quality, I feel it protects my system, & like that it has some space for some games &/or Memory Cards. I definitly give this product 5 Stars. Good price, good product.

Great, relatively slim case for protecting my vita. The slim vita will sit more snug inside the case than my original one, but it works well for protecting my console for transport. It has 2 larger mesh pockets and 4 slots for game cards. I haven't used the mesh pockets for anything as they won't hold any charging cables, but I did try out the game card slots. I would not recommend placing a game card in the slots available though. I had a game fall out and get lost. Thankfully, I lost the card at a friend's place and was able to get it back, but I won't be placing games in this case anymore. I think this case is best if i am just taking the vita without any need for a charger or accessories. I have a different case I like if I want to actually carry a charger or go on a trip. Still, this is my favorite case for carrying around my vita for play on the go. It slips easily into a purse or backpack without a lot of effort. For reference, I own 2 other vita cases. The first is the hard, big clunky hard plastic version officially endorsed by sony. This plastic case is a tank. It probably provides the most protection for my vita, as this case would survive quite a bit. However, considering that it carries 3 game cards, a memory card, and just the vita itself, it is much too large and heavy for me to choose this case on a regular basis. Still, as I own 3 vitas now, it's still helpful to keep around. The other case I have in addition to this case is the Smatree P100, which is an excellent case for longer trips or travel. It seems like this one is made of similar material to the CTA case, but is much thicker and has a zippered pocket, which can accommodate my charger and a couple other items. It comes with more game card slots than the CTA, but I have not yet tested these for how well they hold the cards. It looks like they will hold more snug than the CTA one though. However, unlike the CTA, which has elastic bands to hold the vita system in place, this case has an easy lift out tab, so that you can grab the vita quickly, which leads me to believe I should be relatively careful to open this case on a flat surface.

Things I look for in a case: 1. Does it protect my PS Vita? Yes. 2. Does it hold a couple of games? Yup. 3. Is it compact enough to not make me angry when trying to fit it into my messenger bag when I travel? Yes. My overall impression of this case is that it does a great job at what it is supposed to do. I like the hard shell that keeps my Vita from getting banged up when I travel and I think the overall construction of it is pretty solid. The only thing that I did to this case when I bought it was to cut out the elastic band that you can use to secure the Vita even more. I found they were pretty useless and got in the way. Five seconds and a pair of scissors solved that problem though. Get this case, it works well and is fairly inexpensive!

The CTA Digital Playstation Vita Case is a very compact and slim case which allows for great portability and will not take up any unnecessary carrying space when traveling. The outer case has a nice simple design and texture to it, which is also firm and durable. Within the inside of the case are 4 Slots for games and memory cards and 2 pouches for accessories which are located on a padded divider containing soft lining to protect the screen of the Vita from being damaged. Lastly the bottom of the case which holds the Vita is snug, fitting the shape of the Vita perfectly and contains 2 resilient straps to keep the Vita in place so there is no room for movement when traveling with the device. The only issue I have with the case are the straps that hold the vita in place are right next to the Vitas’ analog sticks making it more difficult than simple to remove the Vita from the case. Everything considered the CTA Digital Playstation Vita Case is slim, protective, made of nice material, is very affordable and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice quality case for their playstation Vita. Pros: Price Travel Friendly and Protective Slim and stores more than just the PS Vita itself Cons: Removability (minor issue)

Here I have the beautiful well made genious of a device in the PS Vita. But this case leaves some to be desired. The outside looks great..it's plain, black and looks like it's something well made. Then you unzip it and look inside and it's pretty poorly constructed (or maybe i got a defective one) the padding around the edges is all there (except the right side seems to be crushed in and non existant) also, my game card slots stitching completely came unraveled, to the point where i just finished the Inevitable (it was going to fall apart/fall out) so I just removed it with a seem ripper & scissors. So that sucks as I was looking forward to actually using those 4 slots, but i guess not now :-/ If you're being cheap and wanna save some scratch, then $10 isn't a big loss...but i'd probably reccomend spending $20 and getting something better made. Or, maybe i just got a defective one...I dunno, I would send it back, but it's a lot of hassle for a $10 case. Probably i'll just find a great case later and either toss this, or give it away. I gave it a 3/5 stars assuming i just got a bad one. My own personal case, more like 2 1/2 out of 5. And mine too stinks of toxic chemicals.

I got my Vita for Xmas and wanted to make sure that i did not break it. I searched and I found this bad boy. it was in the price range that i was Willing to spend to protect it. its a good case its pretty sturdy and seems like it will protect my vita well. I do not like how it has two straps inside to hold the Vita and my only problem with them is that they snag on the Joysticks sometimes. i don't use them anymore but the are a good addition for the added safety. I also like how it has slots for me to put my games in and pouches that i presume will hold headphones and other small things. the only thing i don't like about this case is that i cant fit the charging cable inside of it. I realized though that I do keep my laptop around with me and I can just take the USB portion with me all the time which WILL fit in the case and leave the DC distribution box and AC cable at home. =] If your looking for a case Id HIGHLY recommend this one. One more thing i wish that it had two caribiners or better yet M.U.L.E. straps so I can strap it to my USMC Day pack securely. Other then that. 9.8/10

I'll add my recommendations to the others here. This is a very good case that gets the job done at a very reasonable price ($9.01 at the time I am writing this). Overall, the TLDR is that this is a great case that I'd recommend with one primary downside: the games tend to easily slip out of the four game sleeves in the case (they are not elastic), so you need to be careful when you open this case in a public place if you have games in there. My full list of Pros/Cons: Pros: - A fairly compact size. - Protective. I wouldn't throw it on the ground, but I don't worry about dropping it. - A good balance between soft (shock-absorbent) and sturdy (protective). - Holds 4 games in addition to the Vita. - The soft interior protects both Vita screens (front and back). - Elastic straps hold the Vita securely in place. - Price. Cons: - Games are a bit loose in their sleeves (game sleeves are not elastic) and can fall out. This is my biggest complaint about this case. I almost lost a game at an airport. - The case had an offensive odor when I opened it (but I got that to mostly go away after leaving the case on the porch for a day). - This case will not comfortably hold the charger cable well (a trade-off for its compact size, which is a Pro). I'd recommend this case to someone looking for a practical Vita case at a budget price.

For the price, this travel case is tough to beat. And for $10, there are some expected minor construction issues, in particular the stitching. The belt loop on the sample I received was stitched at an off angle (the entire belt loop, not the stitching holding the belt loop in place). Not a problem for me since I have no intention of ever wearing this on my belt, but it does indicate a slight lack of attention to detail and care from the factory worker who did the stitching. The stitching on the game card pockets on the inside flap was particularly sub par and popped when inserting a game card, probably they are stitched onto a loose mesh material. The rear mesh tends to catch corners as well, making it difficult to easily slide game cards in place. The insert flap is made out of a neoprene-like foam material and should provide minor padding for the PSV. The mesh stitched onto the insert forms two pockets for storing headphones, a cleaning cloth or a memory card case. The case is made out of thermo-molded sheets of EVA plastic covered with nylon weave on the outside and a soft, low pile nylon lining on the inside. The PSV fits very snugly inside, making it about a slim as possible for a semi-hard shell case that should provide a higher degree of impact protection than a soft nylon sleeve or bag, and a higher level of crush protection due to the semi-rigid shell. It is not a hard case made out of rigid plastic. Design-wise, there was enough care made to include features like the belt loop and a removable lightweight carabiner to attach the case to a bag or belt loop, but neither are really necessary since the overall size of the PSV is more conducive to slipping into a bag or inside jacket pocket. There are two elastic straps sewn into the bottom of the case to hold the PSV in place, presumably to keep people from dumping their console on the ground if they're holding the case upside down or sideways when opening it. Again, not really necessary and they take extra time to slip on and off. Many will probably end up snipping them off since they never use them, but it's possible to just drop the PSV on top of the elastic straps as if they weren't even there and the case still zips ups easily. The double zipper has a smooth action. The case lies between a nylon sleeve that mostly provides scratch protection and a hard shell case that provides impact and crush protection. Since the case fits snugly, it adds minimal bulk for those who don't want a blocky hard case or a padded nylon bag large enough to store everything including the PSV AC adapter. Overall, it's a perfect slim fit holster for the PSV that works well as a permanent protective storage unit when not being used or plugged into a charge cradle. I would gladly pay $20 for the same design with better construction, better stitching, better game card pockets, a higher quality liner (like the material used in the Madcatz 3DS case), but for $10 it pretty much met expectations and fit the bill perfectly as a place to keep the PSV at home and on the go.

Very durable case.

The case is dirt cheap but the cost does not effect the quality at all, this is a nice hard case that should save the Vita from damages from a decent fall. The case can store up to 4 vita games inside and it has two, small, mesh compartments for other odds and ends. The Vita fits snugly inside the case.and does not move around and even has two straps inside to keep the Vita attached to the case should you want to play it while inside the case (I can't recommend this function as it feels clumsy) All and all a great deal!

Perfect all round case for the vita; sturdy, has a soft inside , a separator in between your vita storing area and game card+memory card slots (alongside two additional pockets for accessories-say earphones and a tiny cleaning cloth). It also has a metallic clip for you to attach it to something else as a safety measure. Great product.
