This is a great poolside umbrella. It is so nice in that it extends out over the pool so you can actually relax on a float in the shade - much cooler and not get fried by the sun! It was so easy to assemble with simple pictured instructions. Great design how it extends out, locks in, then you crank open the umbrella. Nice features of a velcro strap that secures the edge of the opened canopy to the pole in case of wind. This keeps it from flopping around. I also like the velcro tabs at the end of each rib that allows you to easily attach lights so it is a beautiful night feature too. When you close the umbrella it has another velcro strap that wraps the umbrella and secures it to the pole nicely. The fabric is thick and durable. I actually forgot and left it open in a downpour and there was a nice 10 foot section of the pool with no water churning it up! So I don't plan to use it over a table but it would seem to work well to keep rain off the table as long as it is not blowing too bad. Overall very happy with purchase!

I ordered this canopy when Amazon was having it as a lightning deal. I wasn't looking for a giant, rectangular type of canopy at the time...I wanted to use it on an oddly-shaped concrete patio, for the main purpose of giving my (spoiled) dogs a spot in the shade where they could rest out on the patio, watch the backyard, and not get roasted alive by the south Georgia sun and heat. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Bluu canopy. I figured it would be a real chore to put it together, but it was very quick and easy. One thing I didn't realize until I had it up for a few days is that the canopy top kind of "free floats" to some degree...so the canopy top may move around and wobble a bit in the breeze. A light breeze is OK. If it's a gusty type of wind, best to crank it down for safety's sake. All in all, I think Bluu did a nice job with this canopy at a fair price.

***UPDATE*** Bluu reached out to me after posting this review in an effort to right what I felt was wrong with this product. Belle, the agent I communicated with went above and beyond to provide the best customer service. Not only did they offer to refund my money, but she offered to send me their new and improved umbrella. Within two days of emailing me, a new umbrella arrived at my doorstep, free of cost. And I didn't have to hassle with trying to return the defected one, what a relief!! Due to the weather in my demographics, I will not be able to try the new umbrella out yet. However, because this company is focused on pleasing their customers, and reached out to me to correct the issue, I felt it was only fair to increase their rating no matter what I think of the new umbrella. Once weather allows, I will give the new umbrella a try and come back to update as necessary. Thank you Belle at Bluu for going above and beyond! I am SO disappointed with this product!! I purchased this umbrella back in May, but I wasn't even able to put it up and use it until late July since our deck was being rebuilt from ground up. It is very easy to assemble and set up, that much is true. Our deck sets up off the back of our house fairly high, as it is second story level, so my husband bolted all four legs down to the deck. The first two times we used it, it was lovely--provided much needed shade and gently swayed in 2 mph winds. The third and final time we used it, I noticed upon opening it, the material was already faded a bit from the sun (you could see where it had been strapped closed w/ the velcro straps). I could live with a little fading. Again, we had an intermittent breeze, less than 3 mph when all of a sudden the umbrella appeared to really begin to sag. We thought maybe it was because we didn't lock it open well enough. Upon closer inspection, we noticed it had actually broken at the plastic part that holds the umbrella material, and attaches to the end of the pole! We couldn't reel it closed all the way, as it would only close so much and begin to reopen again. We tried to reel it open all the way, which it does, but it just dangles from the cord too low--hanging right at eye level. Now it is completely useless. We only got to use this thing THREE times! And since I didn't even open it for use until almost two months later, I'm outside of my return window. How disappointing!!!! :0( I did so much research and put much thought into selecting an appropriate patio umbrella specifically because I did not want to end up in this predicament. What a waste....I feel like it would've been much sturdier if that little plastic piece was actually metal, just like the poles.

This umbrella was easy to set up even for me. Moreover, the process to open the umbrella is very smooth and easy to do. As recommended, we did get a base that we filled with water to anchor the umbrella. On breezy days, the umbrella itself has swayed a bit but the support poles with the base have been rock steady. Just as important, the ability to tilt the umbrella at various angles ensures that the umbrella provides shade where needed. The beige color complements the color scheme of our home. Needless to say, we have really enjoyed it on our patio. One note is that somehow the plastic insert at the top of the lower pole had inexplicably become distorted and twisted. This issue did not adversely affect the umbrella at all But I contacted the seller about the possibility of getting a replacement anyway. Murphy of Bluu Patio Umbrella replied promptly, determined what the problem was, and quickly sent out a replacement part for free. When stories abound about poor or non-existent customer service, it was a pleasure to find out that Blue PatIo Umbrella does actually provide fantastic customer service and stand behind its products. All in all, we have really enjoyed this umbrella. We look forward to enjoying the shade from this umbrella for a long time to come.

When my previous offset umbrella bit the dust, I was shocked at how expensive a replacement would be. I found this one, much less expensive than the rest, and decided to give it a try. I've been using it for almost 4 months and am very happy. I was initially worried because the brake on the pole and the movable sleeve were plastic, but they are sturdy. The umbrella has a strap you can wrap around the pole on windy days. It also has a strap to wrap around the umbrella when it's closed (no more using a bungee like on my previous umbrella). It seems well-designed, a good value.

I am thrilled with my new WIKI 8.2 cantilever umbrella with weighted base. I previously purchased the BUNYAN umbrella mid Sept 2022. I expected it to come with a weighted base as depicted in the picture and reached out to customer service to problem solve. Within 24 hours, I received a response with several suggestions on how to weigh down the crossbar base provided. Unfortunately, none of these suggestions was appropriate for my unique situation so I returned the umbrella on Sept. 26 2022. The very next day, I was contacted by Murphy from BLUU. He was unbelievably understanding and offered to send me the base due to my misunderstanding. I explained I already returned the umbrella. Upon review of their other products, I noticed the 8.2 WIKI umbrella. This size, and the fact that it swivels, actually met our needs. Murphy corresponded with me daily to help me get the product that best met our needs. Our WIKI umbrella and weighted base arrived last week and, let me say, we love, love, love the WIKI umbrella and base. The umbrella came with such clear instructions that I was able to assemble by myself and the weighted base was very easy to fill. The umbrella is perfect for providing shade over our dining table set and our lounging patio set. It is very easy to swivel from one area to the other. The umbrella is also bolted to the pole which makes it very secure and prevents it from tipping over. Please note, A WEIGHTED BASE IS NEEDED unless you have a way to securely bolt the crossbars to your deck. One of the reasons I initially purchased from BLUU was because of the reviews mentioning their excellent customer service. Murphy truly was amazing. As I mentioned, he was very understanding, eager to problem solve to meet my situation and followed up on all my correspondence within 24 hours or less. In all my years of being a consumer, I have never experienced this type of exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this company and this WIKI umbrella to you, as I have to my family and friends. Sherri A.

May 21 - I have assembled the replacement umbrella and it is great. Excellent product and very responsive customer service who went out of their way to make things right. May 15 2021 - updating rating for excellent customer service. They reached out to me and identified the issue as a manufacturing defect and sent me a replacement umbrella immediately. Very responsive and willing to make things right. I will update further once I get the replacement umbrella assembled The assembly was super easy as described by other reviewers but the design and quality of this product is terrible. As I set it up there was a slight breeze. The canopy is very flimsy and swayed in this light breeze. Next I tried to adjust the tilt by lowering the cantilever arm. I followed the instructions of removing the plastic retainer before moving the arm but heard a loud pop. Looked around and found the bolt that is at the top of the cantilever arm had popped off. See pictures Glad this umbrella was easy to dismantle. It is now waiting to be returned. Either the design is bad or the construction quality is poor. I am surprised there were so many positive reviews for this as these reviews did not match up with my experience

**UPDATE 4/27/21** Bluu reached out to me regarding my complaint and we've been working together to get the issue resolved. They were VERY prompt about my concerns, and they also really care about my experience with their product. This is an example of how a company should treat their customers. Look no further if you're looking for a very nice affordable umbrella. Let me just start by saying, I was very excited to set this umbrella up for my wife. She's been wanting something to take the sting off of being outside in the hot sun while still enjoying her coffee. So, setup was super easy and straight forward. Then came time to spread its wings. Cranked it up, attached the velcro strap around the main pole, then adjusted it a little bit and sat down. There was about an 8mph wind, which is normal for my area and thought it's subtle enough that this thing should be able to handle it. I was wrong, the umbrella was surfing in the wind from side to side and up and down by a pretty large margin. So much so, I thought maybe there had to be some kind of nut loose or something. Did a check over and found the screw up at the top that controls the swing arm, was really loose. So I tightened it and that really didn't do much. So here I am, wondering what to do next because 8mph wind is really nothing, especially for the summer months. I'll probably end up packaging it up and sending it back, which is a major bummer because I really wanted to love this. :/
