Great fan. Strong air output, well made.
Our bedroom faces East, and gets blasted by the Sun for a good five or six hours. We have a pretty good portable air conditioner, but the room felt like the hot box on the Bridge on the River Kwai, even with the a/c running continuously. We needed something to circulate the cold air coming from the a/c, as the stream of air coming out of it isn’t very powerful (though it is nice and cool.) We were so desperate for a respite from the heat we hung a thick blanket over the entire window, to block out as much Sun and heat as possible. That helped a bit, but wasn’t enough to make our Easy Bake Oven bedroom comfortable. Sleeping was difficult, to say the least. We researched fans on Amazon, and this one got good reviews. But there was a problem; this fan was out of our budget. We are both on fixed incomes, and have to watch every dollar. But we really didn’t want to buy another big box store fan that would work for four months, then conk out. And we wouldn’t be finding a fan powerful enough to make a difference at the low price points of big box store fans. Happily, this fan was available on a payment plan. (Thank you, Amazon!!!) We counted the hours till it arrived, as we were very tired of feeling like rotisserie chickens rotating beneath those red light bulbs. We plugged it in, and tried it out. Let me tell you- the lowest setting on this fan is stronger than the highest setting of air output of any fan we have ever tried. The medium setting is VERY powerful. As for the highest setting- I was leaning down with my face in the stream of air to test it, and I thought my eyelashes were going to blow off. And that is a good thing! Finally, a fan that was REALLY going to make a difference! And- it really does make a difference. We have the fan on top of the a/c unit, with the output nozzle pulled all the way down, so the stream of air from the fan is very close to the stream of air from the a/c. We have had over a month of 90+ days, and this fan has been a life saver. We try not to run the a/c at night to save money, and the fan is strong enough to keep us both pretty cool. That is, a whole LOT cooler than we were before we bought it! Sleep, thank goodness, is possible again. And the combo of fan + a/c cools the room down almost instantly, whereas before, it took at least 1/2 hour for the a/c to reduce the dense cloud of heat in that stuffy room. As we knew we would be running the fan often, and with it being a higher-priced appliance, we bought the 3 year protection plan to go with it for peace of mind. If you are tired of fans that seem they will really cool off a room but end up being wimpy, we *highly* recommend this fan. One thing: it can get loud, especially at the two highest settings. For us, it’s not uncomfortably loud. It’s a “oh I can hear a fan going” kind of loud. The comfort the fan provides is such a happy relief the sound level of it running is not a deal breaker at all. So for us, the fan’s volume is not a problem. If you are on the fence about trying this fan, you should absolutely go for it. With the weather seemingly on course to be uncomfortably hot from now on for a large portion of the year, and having to endure months of 90 degree temperatures, this fan is REALLY coming in handy, and we are glad we purchased it. Thank you!

I'm a fan of this fan!
I recently purchased this utility fan as a replacement for an old unit that was giving up. The Lasko fan is an upgrade in several ways. Out of the box, there was no assembly required and the fan feels satisfyingly sturdy. It provides powerful airflow even on the lowest setting. The blower itself rotates within the housing to permit aiming the airflow in any direction. The control switch is easy to operate and performs exactly as expected. I like that the unit has two AC outlets for other tools or presumably daisy-chaining another fan. There's a breaker reset button nearby in case you add to much load and trip the internal circuit breaker. The only downside is the cord length. Ten feet is a good length, but a slightly longer cord would make placement more flexible. Because it's easy enough to add an extension cord, I'm not willing to deduct a star because of the cord length. This is a great utility fan and I expect it will last for many years. If I find myself needing an additional blower fan, I won't hesitate to buy the same model again

Perfect For top floor apartment during summer
Not heavy, easy as plug-and-play. This thing blows like a dyson fan in my opinion! We live on 3rd floor of an apartment building and the central ac FAILS on us as soon as it’s 80f outside. This place isn’t even a year old and the ac units are brand new, so I know griping to management about the failure wouldn’t do much. The heat rises and it was staying around 77-81f in the apartment. We have 2 portable ac units and they were running nonstop depending on which room we were in. I knew heavy use of any ac unit whether central or portable would slap on at least $100 to our monthly utility bill. At wits end, I decided to buy this air mover fan because my dad has one (a larger one albeit) and the thing BLOWS so powerfully and is more effective in air movement and cooling compared to a regular box fan, pedestal fan, or table top fan. Just scrap the idea of buying all those useless fans. They are crap compared to an air mover fan! Of course this one fan listed here is a smaller one to focus on maybe 1-2 people at a time so if you’re looking for something more, I would suggest buying the larger version of this fan (the price is higher). I appreciate that this fan is smaller and apartment-friendly. We live by a highway and the white noise it produces is soothing and not overpowering with noise in my opinion. I love the fact it has a carry handle on it so I can just grab it and tote it around from room to room. The blower part is adjustable so you can change the direction angle to aim it up higher or lower in height. I have made use of that feature and that’s something I was looking for when searching for this type of fan. The cord that comes with it is a heavy duty type of cord like the one you see in outdoor extension cords. Definitely durable! The height of this fan is about the size of my indoor domestic cats. It isn’t that big, but it’s definitely worth it for starting out. I anticipate that later on down the line I might buy a second one but that one will probably be bigger. I don’t regret buying this fan at all. I knew it would be small. The price point and the money constraints right now are two reasons why I settled with this size 𝚟𝚜 a larger unit. It is still very much worth the cost and if there were no larger units, I’d buy a second one of these! They’re incredibly powerful. I have been able to keep all of my ac units OFF for hours so far today while I have this fan blowing on me and still had a blanket on my legs. Oh I’m Pregnant and do run hot these days and the indoor temp is 81-82 degrees right now. I’m not anemic at all. So with that being said, this fan is a win-win if you’re bothered by utility companies jacking up your utility bills every time you use your ac. It’s totally worth the purchase. The worst that could happen is you don’t like it and can return it. I say you try it out and see for yourself. Obviously, don’t put this fan in the rain or near water or let the dog pee on it like it’s a fire hydrant and you won’t have quality control problems. If you use it for it’s intended purpose and take care of it, it can definitely last a long time. My dad has 2 air movers too. How you take care of them will depict how long they’ll hold up for years to come. TLDR: excellent for reducing utility bills and trying to avoid using ac as much. Blows like a dyson fan. BUY IT, it’s worth the purchase.

Powerful and reliable
Bought these for a band rehearsal space and then bought two more for my house. Quieter than box or radial fans for the most part, and very powerful. Smaller footprint than other fans as well. Outlet is a nice touch.

Good so far 👏
I ordered this air mover because it was the only one that could be delivered today and the reviews weren't terrible. If you've used the big ones for drying floors etc. (Like I have at work) then you'll notice it's not as powerful. It's also half or less of that size and still leaps ahead of standard household fans. This is perfect for cooling me down in my small bedroom, drying household floors etc. I've been running a lasko 20" box fan, a smaller box fan near my air vent to attempt to circulate cooler air faster and 2 tower fans (one can operated as swamp cooler). Oh and an air purifier. This beats all of those fans. Nice direct flow air. Honestly very quiet for what it is but with fans and aquariums; I'm use to a higher noise level. It's doesn't take up too much space, the pivoting is perfect to direct air flow. The only issue is actually adjusting it is a little difficult for me; to be fair I'm a bit weak right now, so I find it very stiff to adjust but that's been the only slightly negative thing so far... and even then I'm glad whereever I adjust it too is set and won't drop down. I can finally get a little rest in this heavy summer heat and don't wake up damp with sweat. Already discontinued use of my other fans. Great buy for me.

Good little fan
I originally bought this to help combat the heat in my kitchen during the summer time. This is a powerful little fan, but did not help combat the heat in my kitchen. We live in an older home and the AC just can't keep up during those hot months with the stove on. That doesn't hurt my rating for this fan, my husband LOVES this fan. It is powerful and does blow nice cool air. I took off one star only because it did lose some power almost immediately after owning it, like instead of power 3 it was on power 1 or 2. When I first plugged it in and turned it on I would say it was a 10/10. The second time I turned it on, it was if it has lost blowing power. It never felt like that full power of the first time turning it on, otherwise I would give 5 stars.

These move more air than a regular box fan! So many uses! We love them!
These fans really move the air for you. We use them all the time. My wife simply HAS TO HAVE a fan running when she sleeps (for the air flow and a little white noise). She will not travel without packing one in the trunk in case the hotel room feels a bit stuffy for her taste. Last year, we had a pipe going the the water heater that developed a pin hole which fully soaked the carpet in my son's room before it was discovered. Never fear, we set one of these fans up to blow and dry the carpet and padding out. Worked great. I love using them when working in my garage in the hot summer time, to keep a nice breeze aimed at me or even put one aimed at the metal roof to help exhaust some of the heat that builds up. I also use one in my woodworking shop to exhaust the smoke and fumes from my laser cutter and engraving system! These Lasko fans also are great for musicians performing on the stage (like outdoor venues or under a ton of hot stage lights). I have even spotted major touring acts with a few of these aimed at the performers. So many great uses for these fans. They are a little noisy on the highest settings, but if you need to move the air, that usually is the least of your concerns. To me they are quieter than a big box fan running at high speed. I also enjoy the multiple angle settings with the design of this fan, allowing you to aim that breeze right where you need it. I think we now own about five of these Lasko fans, as well as one of their larger model blowers, too. They are durable and for the price, you can't beat them!

Much better than Vornado and less than half the price!
We bought this fan as well as the $150 vornado 783 fan to do an AB comparison. Long story short, this Lasco fan out performs the more expensive vornado fan in every way. We live in a 1.5 story house and we have one bedroom (12’x12’) that gets warmer during the summer and colder in the winter relative to all of the other rooms in our house, common for a 1.5 story house. We proped this lasco fan next to one register in the room and it does an amazing job of circulating the cool air in the room. The vornado 783 fan arrived in an undamaged condition but the second speed on the vornado, when selected, cut off power to the fan (fan turned off on level 2). Also, while the vornado was on the highest speed available it did a poor job circulating the air in the room when compared to the lasco fan. Also, our main floor, where we tested the fans is all hardwood floors and for whatever reason the vornado fan caused a loud vibration that transmitted excessively loud noise in the basement where my 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos system is located, which interfered with the dynamic range (quiteness) of my AV system. I placed the vornado fan on a weighted blanket and it completely removed the loud vibration. The lasco fan does not cause any type of vibration that can be heard in the basement. As a result we found this utility fan to be much better at circulating air than the vornado and didn’t require it to be on a weighted blanket. Therefore, we returned the vornado fan and kept the lasco fan and could not be happier. I highly recommend you try this fan if you need to increase air circulation in a room. Please note we demonstrated these two fans because our cheap box fan stopped working. This lasco fan also out performed the box fan we had. Therefore, I highly recommend this product!

Does move air..
Just got this fan today for my horse barn it moves the air really good. I bought it because the reviews where going and others had said it doesn't get hot like most fans do. I had a few of the bigger master craft fans in my barn but the motor on them get extremely hot and full of dust and hay which is a big no no in any barn and that made me extremely worried. I bought this fan to move air and to help blow the flies off my horses that are very much annoying them this time of year and to also give them relief from the heat. Now I have checked several times to see if it actually gets hot in time but it doesn't feel hot at all even after being on high for a few hours it is a bit loud but not near as loud as the master craft fans. It is not a cheaply priced fan but neither are most fans. If this fan lasts a few weeks with no issues I will be buying a few more because I'm already pretty happy with the fact it doesn't get hot and the air flow is decent and it's not near as loud as a box fan or the large master craft fan.
