Great switch, designed for home theater, but OK for KVM-type application
I needed a KVM setup for HDMI 4K@60Hz, and those are crazy expensive. It was to replace my VGA KVM setup, which has been working very well, but which can't even come close to driving my 4K HDMI monitor at full resolution. I finally decided to keep using the VGA KVM switch for keyboard and mouse, and get this to switch the HDMI. I'm super satisfied with this HDMI switch. It works perfectly, hasn't given me any trouble. Picture and connection quality, even at 4K@60Hz, is perfect and rock solid. It's doing exactly what I need. There are a couple things to be aware of, though. 1) Apparently, the monitor and computer don't see the switch as an HDMI endpoint; it's more of a transparent pass-through device. So when you switch inputs away from a computer, to that computer it looks like you unplugged the monitor. It will do whatever it normally does when you unplug a monitor: switch to another display, go to sleep, rearrange desktop icons, resize windows, etc. If your computer remembers each unique monitor configuration, then when you switch back to that input, it will put things back how they were. 2) The switch automatically activates an input whenever that input gets plugged in or turned on. So if your MacBook is applying updates and you're trying to use a different system while that happens, be aware that every time the MacBook reboots or does something that powers up the HDMI output, this switch will yank you away and switch to that input. These are probably both great features for when this switch is used in a home theater setup. But they aren't so fantastic when using it as part of a KVM switch setup. But I also cannot justify calling them flaws; they are just good design features that are optimized for a different use case. And for 4k@60Hz HDMI switching, at this price point instead of $100, or $200, or $1,500 (all with equally crappy reviews), this thing is a brilliant bargain.

LIFE SAVER! My TV has only 2 HDMI ports so this was a game changer for me
I have a cable box, a Roku device, a soundbar, and my PS4... 4 devices that need HDMI ports to connect to my TV. Regrettably, I love my TV quality BUT it only came with 2 HDMI ports so all the time I've been having to disconnect the cable box to connect my PS4 and I had to connect my soundbar using an optical cable because I was using the HDMI arc port for my Roku and IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY! UNTIL I saw the light at the end of the tunnel with this HDMI switch! I didn't even know there was a product like this! Now I can connect up to 4 devices at the same time to my TV without any problem and the quality is still amazing because it supports 4K and HDR so I can play games on my PS4 like the gaming gods meant it and without disconnecting my PS4 every time my wife wants to watch something on cable. THANK YOU! The control works perfectly too and it's very easy to use.

Not perfect, but works well
** 1/23 Update** Durability actually held up well when I had to remove it from the shelf. No problems at all getting it off. Started using it for another NVR system on the same horribly managed entertainment center cable nightmare and it was working as expected. We had a bad storm come through and I guess it got my TV. I went from 4 working HDMI ports to only 1. So I moved everything through this little guy. My old XBox series S still worked through the switch. My new XBox series X would not work through this switch or through the HDMI port on the TV. I eventually ran the Series X through the Input HDMI on the Series S, then through this switch to the working HDMI port on the television. In this configuration, I was having audio drop outs every 2 or 3 seconds and the more data being fed to the TV from the game systems, the more the audio suffered. When I connected to the television with the same cable that was attached to the switch directly from the gaming system, my audio issues went away. I now see that I will need to buy a newer switch that can handle the output of the game systems. Still never had any issues with it through the cable box, NVRs, or HTPCs and my only issues are audio while gaming. Again, this was worth every single penny I spent for the purchase. 2020 review ++ My entertainment center is an absolute nightmare of cords and devices. I have multiple HTPCs each with multiple cables for Video output, multiple NVRs for security cameras with mouse and keyboards, multiple game systems, surround sound, 2 routers, a network switch, a UPS, a 10 port USB device charging station, and multiple TVs all in one medium size entertainment center built for a 52" TV. Because I have so many things that need to be displayed on screens, I was hoping this would fit the bill to help with cable management. Pros- 1. Smaller than expected. Not much taller or wider than the 5 HDMI and micro USB ports. It's about as wide (front to back) as a credit card. 2. Feels surprisingly "durable" - ish. It's heavy for its size with a metal housing. 3.Simple hook ups and easy to understand labeling on ports 4.Easy to power with almost any phone charger. It comes with a surprisingly short power cable and phone charger type plug. I just substituted a 6 foot charging cord from the nearby device charging station. 5. As I power on devices, it automatically puts them on screen. 6. Minimal heat load. While I do not use it for my main television, it has my security camera feed through it to the second television at all times. No Audio and pretty much static images through the HDMI. Don't know if this equals less bandwidth and less heat or not, but its fairly cool to the touch at all times. Cons- 1. While it functions as I thought it would for most every device, I have 1 older NVR that refused to display through it, but I can plug straight into the HDMI on the television from the NVR and have no issues. Not a deal breaker, but it sure would have been nice if I had tried all connections BEFORE I ran all the cables and strapped them into place. 2. The second issue I had, and the one I had the biggest issue with, was that there is no way whatsoever to mount it as it comes. HDMI cords are fairly stiff, and with 5 of them plugged in, it is pretty well at the mercy of being where ever the stiffness of the cords lets it hang. To fix this, I used 2 part epoxy and glued it to the underside of the entertainment center shelf (using clamps to secure it where I wanted it) until the epoxy set. If it fails next week, or I replace the entertainment center, I suppose I will be testing its apparent durability when and if I can remove it. Without opening it up to view inside, I would think that there is enough room internally to place 2 mounting keyholes in the body. Ideally, there would be reversible L brackets at each end to allow for mounting at the top, bottom, or side of a shelf. 3. The remote is tiny. Again, not a deal breaker, but with a hundred other remotes running around, this one will be lost in no time. Luckily, there is a real, physical, actual push button on the front of the switch for when that happens. 4. This is a minor issue, but the IR sensor is mounted standing up and inset to the front of the device. It's more of an aesthetics thing for me than anything, but why? It ruins the sleek front of the device and creates a huge pocket to collect and hold dust and will surely be a nightmare to clean without compressed air when the time comes. Overall, I would definitely buy this again. You can't beat it for the price, and it seems to do exactly what it was intended.

Great to have for those TV with only one or two HDMI ports
This HDMI switch is pretty nice and works great for those 4k televisions. The one thing I really like about it is that it has a small remote to make it easier to switch between slots. The remote is very basic. It has the four hdmi port numbers and right to left to scroll through the HDMI ports. The remote runs on CR2025 battery which most likely will last for quite some time considering you only use it to change the HDMI channel and that is just one button. There is a button on the device itself if you are close by so you can just adjust the HDMI port number on the device if needed. It also has a micro USB plug to power it which I do recommend using. Even though I have had luck using it without the power adapter, it tends to be a bit low on power and shuts off randomly. IT comes with a short micro USB cable and a power brick if you do not have a usb port on your TV to plug it in. I recommend using the TV usb if possible as it really does limit the amount of outlets you take up. I found it to be better for sound and picture when you use the additional power. The picture quality does not seem to be changed as much. It provides my 4K tv the same quality if it was plugged into the TV directly. You do not have any loss in video quality. I am able to plug additional game consoles to my TV although the remote signal need direct sight so make sure the HDMI switch is in visible range or you may not be able to change the HDMI signal. It also does not come with an HDMI cable so you will need an additional HDMI cable from your TV to the switch. It can provide you up to four additional ports. Be aware this does not work for plugging in 1 HDMI device to 4 HDMI monitors. It will not work for that. Overall this product works really well for me and works very well for 4K TVs. I am able to plug in more device into the TV and also it blends in pretty well with my tv and stand. I usually just put it right below my TV in line of sight as you will not be able to change it otherwise. The device does not get super hot or anything when in use. It is pretty well built and made of aluminum I will say. There are also small LED light indicators to show what HDMI port you are currently on.

Works and easy install but has flaws (MacBook Pro users read this)
I bought this for my home office setup. I have multiple HDMI inputs (MacBook Pro, Work Dell Laptop, Xbox Series X) . I liked that this was a 4 input device which gave me an extra HDMI in case I needed it. I received it yesterday and within the first hour of use, it was automatically switching to my MacBook input by itself. It did it 4 times! I even removed the batteries from the remote. I am pretty much your IT Pro since that my profession. I literally trouble shot everything I could. I have my MacBook Pro on a Belkin USB-C Dock which has worked perfectly on another previous 3 input hub (no issues). I replaced my HDMI cable from the dock to this hub and it would still switch me back to the MacBook from my Xbox while playing. I went ahead and switched the HDMI inputs and whatever reason, the HDMI hub would switch over to the MacBook Pro. So….. I went and swapped my USB-C dock with another one, same thing after 5-10 minutes while using my Xbox. I figured if I unplugged my MacBook Pro, the issue would STOP. I can say this HDMI hub might be great if you are not planning on connect a MacBook Pro to the hub. It seems like it will interfere with the hub and trigger it to change to its input at random. I went ahead and requested a replacement of this HDMI hub, since I thought it was faulty on delivery. NOW today, I got the new replacement and BAM the same outcome. It does not like my MacBook Pro. The Mac seems to take over the HDMI hub after a few minutes no matter what device you’re using. As far as the quality of this hub, it seems like a well made, sturdy hub. The video quality is as good as being directly plugged to my gaming monitor. The HDMI input switching is pretty much 1-2 seconds. Just remember, my experience may be different from yours but two Hubs with the same results for my MacBook Pro is not good. I’ll shop around and make another hub purchase soon.

Works exactly as advertised!
This handy and affordable little 4-in 1-out HMDI switch is well worth your money. I only have 3 HDMI ports on my 4K TV but I own 4 video game systems and a 4K bluray player. I have my game all running through this HDMI switch and there is no lag at all nor is there any degradation in picture quality. It also allows HDR10 and Dolby Vision to pass through as well. It comes with a USB cable to power the unit as well as an adaptor for the cable should you need to instead plug it into an electrical outlet. I literally only had to plug in my four video game systems into the switch, run a HDMI out to my TV as well as plugging the USB cable into my TV to power the HDMI switch. While it does come with a small remote, the device instead automatically changes the input to whichever device you power on at that point. For an extremely affordable price, this HDMI switch is well worth purchasing for anyone who needs to expand the amount of HDMI inputs available for their devices.

Great entertainment solution for older back panel monitors
It worked great for a year then one of the pets died on me. Thankfully I only needed three soi just moved my cable over. It continued doing its job another 18 months before fully dieing. I have since moved on from needing this solution but would buy again if I find myself needing something similar.
