GREAT CROSSBOW
It took a little figuring out to assemble the scope and arrow quiver as there were no instructions for my rs470. There was no sling only a I OWE YOU PAPER with instructions to fill out and mail to Tenpoint. I contacted customer service and they said it's a supply chain issue and they would mail the sling when it was in stock. Other than that everything was good. I've owned Tenpoint crossbows for years and they are quality made crossbows and very accurate. The scope on this rs470 is nice. It has the yardage on the reticle and flip up lence covers. It's 3 lbs lighter than the bow I have now. Very compact. The cocking and decocking is a game changer for me. No more shooting the crossbow to unload. I look forward to hunting with this crossbow.

Great crossbow. Lousy order fullfilment
I used the RS470 crossbow last deer season and absolutely loved it. Got stolen from my car so I had to replace it this season. I ordered the exact same crossbow package. When it arrived the hard case, included as part of the package, was not with the crossbow. Very disappointing! Several other reviewers have also noted the same problem. This was especially vexing because I was intending to fly to Illinois to deer hunt and had to postpone my scheduled vacation while resolving the issue. Ended up purchasing elsewhere.

Crossbow itself is awesome. Accessories marginal
Similar experience as FitzJ. I guess for the $$$ spent you are basically buying a high end crossbow and bolts. The scope covers fell off twice while in deer stand while deer hunting this year. The scope is marginal for hunting. Prob OK for shooting range. Scope does not do well in dim light. You need to adjust it to arrow speed to use drop compensation system which for this bow the scope needs to be set at about a 5 power. Scope images are unclear and 5X is way too much power for most of my hunting. I set it on 1 power so image was clearer and hoped I didn't have a long shot. Scope we be upgraded. The case will need to be replaced with a actual hard case. Good news is the crossbow itself is awesome. Quiet cranking, small, lightweight and FAST. No regrets.

Broke string first day shooting
Was sighting in the bow and the string literally blew up in my face. Was probably the 5th shot through the bow.

No case or broad heads.
Missing the case and broad heads. For 3 grand I expect everything to be there as advertised. Everything else is great. I havenโt fired it yet, but that will come soon.

Inferior Materials or Poor design?
My brand new Tenpoint Vapor 470 has a limb that began "delaminating" after just a handful of shots. This happened while I was on my annual trip out west. The bow was brand spanking new. Background: I have owned about 10 crossbows, the last two were high end Tenpoint bows. I am very familiar with the acudraw system, its weaknesses and proper technique. Have seen many videos, talked to reps, etc. No the bow was not dry-fired nor did it experience string jump. Upon arriving out west, I tested the bow to see how the scope had endured the cross-country trip. It was fine. After a subsequent hunt, I shot once more into a target to check accuracy. Although I ten-ringed the arrow into the bullseye and it sank to the feathers in a target rated for 650fps, I felt and heard something different as I shot. I was alarmed, immediately suspecting string jump. I checked over the bow and found nothing wrong. I checked the target to find the arrow as described above. A perfect shot. I shrugged it off. Later the night in my blind, I felt what I thought must be a burr that kept hanging up on my sleeve. When I investigated further, it turned out to be shards from the corner of the left limb. Delamination. Talk about a confidence breaker. I reported this to tenpoing upon my return home. They said sounds like delamination and suggested I take it to the nearest service center. For me, that was 45minutes away. But take it, I did. At this point, I am just waiting to be accused of dryfire, and essentially that is what would happen, except the tech at the bow shop said "we are seeing this acrossed the board with high-end crossbows+ He explained that arrows had gotten so light in an effort to get the speed numbers, that just shooting them was replicating a dry-fire condition. "" It will be 3 weeks until my bow is to be returned to me with new limbs. And one other thing, although my two friends that also bought Tenpoint Vapor 470's and who have their bows in to tenpoint for repars currently, they both had to pay for shipping. I, on the other hand, had to pay the shop 50 dollars for my "warranty" repair in addition to driving my full sized truck 1.5 hrs to the shop and back. Thank you very much. Season shot. Very disapointed. Ps. How is this to fix the problem? I have a request into tenpoint to upgrade my limbs or to let me pay the difference and get a different bow. No word so far.

screws and nuts, missing
Screws, no screws came with mine. I look at instructions, list an inventory of screws and nuts. May I get those sent to me, so I can assemble it?

Pass on this bow
You must assemble bow but doesnโt come with Instructions. For the price one would think it would come assembled. But another brand !
