Swan Nordic Espresso Machine, White, 15 bar Pressure, Milk frother, 1.2L Tank, Scandi Style, SK22110WHTN

This was a replacement for the first one I bought after it developed a faulty with the steamer (wouldn't turn off!) this one works perfectly and makes a really nice coffee (or maybe that's me!!) the milk frother is efficient and a good size and the whole unit is very sturdy. The speed of the heating up is really good and it is very easy to use. Bit recommended for children obviously! The material can be hard to clean but if you clean-as-you-go l, it won't be a problem. The colour is just as advertised and it's a beautiful looking appliance.

I've had this machine for a year now. I bought this as a temporary machine until I could figure a 'good' one to replace a high end gaggia manual espresso machine that I had for almost a decade beforeit died. For the money, it's surprisingly good, coffee tastes nice, not as a nice as the gaggia but nice enough that I decided to keep this one for as long as it works. It's a nice looking machine, fairly compact and easy to use - mostly. Little things do annoy me though, so the holder for inserting the coffee basket is poorly designed, which means fumbling to place it. My old one, stuck out a bit making it easier to place. It is a little thing and you get used to it, but makes me think with a little more effort when designing could be better. The same for the frother, its ok, but again comparing to my old one it could be better. The obvious negative owning it, is it feels cheap, light and plasticy. It is, for good reason, it's such good value, the price v performance is very good. Overall its nice looking, fairly good performing machine, great value considering the price. And the main thing after a little bit of trial and error you can make coffee's almost as good as the high end machines.

First read the manual to get familiar with the unit and controls, then flush the unit well before first use! I flushed my unit through 4 or 5 times to rid the plastic taint form the unit (you can smell the plastic taint in the water fade with each flush - be very careful though as the water is very HOT!). I think I went through 2/3rds of a tank of water to clear the issue. So far the unit has only been used to make espressos and no plastic taste was noticed. Apart from espresso, the machine will also facilitate cappuccino, latte, Americano, flat white, mocha, and will even give hot chocolate a nice touch (according to the manual). The unit looks and feels a quality build even though it doesn't weigh very much, and of a small but practical enough size for a standard kitchen. Not being much of a milky coffee lover, the frothing wand hasn't been used yet. Having procrastinated for quite a few weeks being put off by negative reviews of many brands, I was a little reluctant to take the plunge, but if you follow the above regarding flushing the unit well, you should have good results. Use a good coffee bean, and grind for espresso, otherwise the grounds can 'cake' in the filter. If you find the coffee splashes during the pour, simply wipe it with a damp cloth once the pour has finished - many people have complained of coffee staining due to splashing, but it's common sense really.

I've really tried to get on with this product and questioned whether I was doing something wrong as it simply seems incapable of making a decent coffee. For comparison, my previous coffee maker broke after 6 months and had to be returned but the one before that lasted 33 years before it started leaking steam. Both machines made a good cup of coffee and were easy to use. My issues with the Swan machine are as follows: 1. The temperature gauge doesn't get to the 'cup' symbol before the green light comes on and the heating stops, so the coffee is weak and quite watery. 2. The machine is bulky (yet light and plasticky,) yet only makes a double shot, so it is useless for more than 2 people or one person who needs a caffeine hit. 3. The coffee holder locks tight with the hear and is nigh on impossible to remove after use. I have to wait until the machine has cooled down, which takes about half an hour. All in all it is a white elephant which looks pretty but fails to fulfil its only purpose of making coffee. I have gone back to using my stove top coffee pot whilst I work out what to do with this piece of junk.

Unlike other reviews, I followed the instructions, cleaned it out before first use and had no terrible smells or taste. Produced lovely cappuccinos. Plus I have a very large cappuccino mug which fits nicely under the despenser. Yes I have to tilt it to get it under but then it fits beautifully. Steamer makes lovely frothy milk. I like the light that tells you when the steamer is ready. If you don't want to spend mega bucks this does a lovely job. The coffee tastes better than in my previous machine. You get flavour but as I don't like it too strong the smaller dispenser makes it just right for me. It feels sturdy and I love the beige colour

Great machine for the price, coming from a barista. Only few issues such as the temperature takes a while for the steam wand and the steam wand is somewhat difficult to clean and use as it is small. (I’d recommend purchasing a super small pitcher) I didn’t receive a tamper with mine, I contacted the seller and they still didn’t send me the tamper which made my experience much more difficult and expensive ! Other than this, I totally reccomend this for beginners, it is beautiful and easy to use, it is small enough to fit in your kitchen and the coffee tastes great as long as you drain the shot a few times before using it with coffee.

The first thing to know is that it is great value for you money. Then, it is quiet and efficient and produces the goods a that is good cup of coffee. The quality of the coffee depends on the bean and or the grinding not necessarily the machine so that down to experience. The frother does the job, just make sure it's cleaned after use as the milk will clog it up again nothing to do with the machine. So all in all it is an excellent buy for the out lay and pays back with a good cup. Down side is that this colour the off-white does seem to stain, so what I say, it adds character as long as it is clean and keeps providing me with the goods.

The first one I received did not work and I had to contact customer service to get support (really good customer service and functional willing to understand the problem and offer the best solution to their customers) the coffee machine is good and does what the seller described, the coffee is good and creamy (although this depends on the coffee and not the machine itself), the power is one of the best making the milk foam really thick and creamy, but now we come to the sore points there are exceptions that do not make it perfect, 1- the joint of the coffee arm in the machine is defective, often it doesn't close properly and the coffee spurts (but I don't know if it's only mine or if it's a factory defect) 2- if you take the light colour like the one in my case the dirt is very difficult to remove, and if you remove it the halo remains in plain sight 3- the way to fill the tank with water is really inconvenient

A great coffee machine for the price

The color was beautiful and the dimensions as advertised were correct. However it wouldn’t get hot enough or build enough pressure to steam nor would the gage work. Shipping is pricy so be carful what you order.

Elle mignonne assez facile d'utilisation il m'a fallut du temps pour le mousseur que je n'utilise plus car trop contraignant. De plus elle fait un bruit monstre . Il lui manque un broyeur cela la rendrait à mon sens plus complète vu le prix . Lidl fait exactement la même pour 70 euros !!!!

This item should not be for sale in the US market, or at the very least should clearly state in the facts that it is wired for the UK and cannot be plugged in without voltage transformer (and may or may not work correctly even with that). Product looked nice, Very disappointed I can't use it.

Première utilisation : l'eau ne s'écoule pas. La pompe ne semble pas fonctionner. Perte de temps.
