Whew!!! Glad I chose this chair
First I have to say if you want this to recline to a complete flat position I would look elsewhere. This is a recliner and not a bed. I read so many bad reviews about this chair I was a little worried upon purchase. That I one reason I felt compelled to write a review only a couple of days after usage. I saw this chair in the top lift chairs of 2020. The brand seems to show up in a lot of videos so I thought I would give it a try in spite of the mixed reviews. A person in the household that this chair was purchased for is very picky about what he sits in. He in fact said he didn't even want the chair before purchase which made my choice more difficult. The chair is not as easy to assemble as I thought it would be. Check out videos on installation as the manual is ok but not as good as videos. It is a little difficult to get the sides onto the runners but with chairs that is to be expected. You don't need any tools which surprised me as I had my screwdrivers all set to go but none were needed. The chair only has 4 screws to put in and the rest plugs in. I felt the wiring and lift were well done. Everything is in its proper place. I would be the most careful when unboxing as that is where you could mess up some of the wiring. Once you have it out of the box as long as you watch not to slide over any wires you should be fine. The shipment came in two boxes. One was 85lbs. The other was 35lbs. I needed a two wheeler to get them in the house. The screws are under the chair if you are looking for the manual or screws. I felt the most difficult part was getting the right and left arm on. With two people it might be easier but the arms are fairly light so it worked ok with one person. The chair once put together was pretty comfortable. I would say compared to most chairs I have sat on its at least as good if not more comfortable in an upright position. It feels like most Living Room chairs in terms of comfort. I chose the blue color and feel the look is quite good. It just looks like a nice living room chair. The recline and lift are also well done. Both are very quiet and you can stop either at any time by letting go of the button. I read reviews where the chair was too slow. Well I disagree as with a senior citizen who needs a lift chair in the first place is going to want to get in and out of the chair slowly anyway. I thought the lift was plenty fast and the recline worked quite well also. You can recline into so many different types of settings that this was an area I was quite happy with. The different recline positions are shown above by the mfg. I thought the power cord was very long and works well. We have a lot of plug ins so maybe that is the reason but was very happy with that. The chair is quite large. I wouldn't want to say its to small unless the person is very heavy or very tall. For general usage there is plenty of room. As for the massage unit that is a strange aspect to this chair. First I'm not really into that type of thing. However, I thought the heating unit would be nice. I wish they were separate but they are not. I also with the heat dispersed in more places than it does. However, as explained by the mfg. you can unplug the black wires in back and leave the red plugged in to get heat only and no vibration. I really don't care for the massage part however the person I purchased for likes the idea. First I think its annoying for others around you. It seems to make more noise than I expected. If you're by yourself it might be different. The heat I will mention hear I have not used so I am unable to say how hot the chair gets. Maybe I should say how warm. There is a button where the vibration can be controled by you on the remote. You can control which parts of the chair vibrate and how much vibration you want. All of that works quite well. Timer is on the remote also. Overall this is a nice comfortable living room chair even without the lift. With the lift it works great for a senior or other who has trouble getting in and out of big living room chairs. I think the price is fair. The quality of the chair will last for some time. Mostly if you are careful when moving the chair you should be good to go. One thing I thought of was what if the power went out when you were in a reclining state. Well that seems like a problem that I will mention but don't really have the answer to. Overall well worth the price and if you need a lift chair and this is your price range I would highly recommend. UPDATE: 2 Weeks Later: I will leave the stars the same. The need is there. A couple of problems. First, When a senior was laying there the chair stopped moving. That is a big problem for somebody that cannot get in and out of a regular chair much less a recliner. Was a scary situation. This company is very hard to contact. I looked for quite some time for a phone number and one couldn't be found. Obviously getting the person out of the chair without injury was the big concern. That was accomplished. After I had a chance to tip the chair on its side to see what could have caused the stoppage of the recliner. The power light on the cord was lit meaning there was power to the chair. I looked under the chair and found a plug in similar to a wall socket. That probably due to shipment knocks and scrapes was not completely in the chair. I plugged that in and it started right up again reclining back and forth. Thought the problem was solved. About 1 week later the same thing happened. This time I was able to tip the chair up while they were in the chair and look at that same plug in . It was in ok. I wiggled it some and lowered and it started up again with them in the chair. Now what? If I contact them what do they do? I would like to keep the chair as it is a quality chair. However, there is always that worry that the chair is going to get stuck in the recliner position. I think this chair is faulty however I still want to look at the chair and see if this keeps happening. Don't know what else to say except it can be quite dangerous if the chair is stuck in the reclining position and that person is the only one home. More updates as this saga continues. Update: It’s 3 AM and dad was stuck in chair again. Need the chair but this is third time I’ve had to wiggle a faulty cord to start back up. Will try to replace rather than refund. They seem difficult to get hold of.

Horrible customer service.
Chair is comfortable and easy to assemble. However extremely poor quality and the company has horrific customer service. I bought this chair in June, and had been using it with no problem. Last week, someone who weighs 210 lbs was sitting on it (way below the 300lb capacity advertised) while sleeping the recliner broke backwards with him in it. When I emailed the company to purchase just the recliner part they told me the chair had been “updated” and I would have to purchase the whole chair. Didn’t offer any other help, any other options. I was not asking for anything for free. Completely disappointed. I have included pictures of the piece that broke. Chair is extremely chincy and feels cheap.

What was needed
My mother had a stroke recently and we needed a lift chair. We had a little issue initially where there was a noise in the lift part a couple weeks of use. The merchant resolved that issue to my expectations. Can’t praise them enough. Her only complaint is that it doesn’t rock like her lazy boy did. Other than that it’s a great chair and asset to her in her condition.

COMFORTABLE....NOT BAD....GOOD VALUE
I have had this chair for about a year now, and it is being used daily. It woks really well and is in the upper level range for comfort. Assembly was really a bear. The instructions were totally worthless....the few electrical connections were not where the instructions said they were. And no clear idea of what plugs into where....it was trial and error. The back piece comes separately and took a long time to line it up correctly into the bottom section of the chair. The heater element doesn't put out much heat.....so you cannot wear a robe or have a seat/back cushion and expect to get heat. The color is not quite as described on Amazon either. Overall, once the chair is assembled it is very comfortable, works really well, and looks nice.

Excellent Purchase
I purchased this chair in 2021 and it's a quality chair. The chair motor pieces just broke and its loose. This is an excellent purchase for an elderly person.

Don't buy anything made by CANMOV
First of all, this review is as honest and direct as we can make it. We bought this chair and in less than 4 years it broke such that it doesn't lift or recline. It actually broke trapping me reclined in the chair. Imagine being reclined in this thing and not be able to get out. After getting out of the chair we contacted CANMOV customer service and they (pretty much) told us that they discontinued the chair and we are on our own. They will not even help us with a parts list so that we can try to get the thing repaired on our own. If you are looking for one of these chairs then I'm sure, physically, you really need it so if you don't want to be left holding the bag for something that breaks quickly after the short warranty they give you. When their chair broke I was reclined and I almost needed to call 911 to get out of the chair. Then when we tried to repair the chair their customer service were ill equipped to help us telling us over and over that they didn't have our order information after we provided it to them. They basically treated us like pikers. They wouldn't lift a finger to provide us with a parts list so we could have our handyman try to fix the thing. Stay away from CANMOV - your wellbeing is more important than any money you save buying cheap and you're really not saving anything. Here we are, less than 4 years later looking for a new chair.

Product arrived 11 days early.
The product was smaller than what I would have originally purchased.
