It's good and easy!
Been using this for years! Just grill a sirloin patty, mix sauce with a couple of T of butter and 1/4 cup red wine, heat on stovetop until it starts to boil then serve over cooked beef.

Recipe workhorse, a kitchen must-have
We keep this on hand all the time. We're both sensitive to the acidity of tomatoes, and have found that Dawn Fresh Mushroom Steak Sauce is a great substitute in a ton of recipes. For us, it makes a tasty base for Salisbury Steaks, goulash, lots of casseroles and pasta bakes, and a quick ragu. It is a handy size for us making recipes for 2 or 4. We enjoy the versatility it offers, so we can eat more of our favorite recipes which were becoming too acidic and giving us upset stomachs. The quality is top notch and I think you will be glad if you try it.

My wife makes the most amazing red meat sauce. She claims one of her few secrets is Dawn Fresh Sauce Steak Mushroom. She's been making it the same way for at least 20 years. Slowly, one by one, our regular grocery stores just stopped carrying it. It's a small thing to many of us, but the look on her face when told, "We don't carry that anymore." is enough to sadden one's day. (Even though I'm sure her meat sauce would be fine without it, she's convinced otherwise, and after all, it is HER sauce!) I was so happy to find this on Amazon. As it's approaching cooler weather in the Chicago area, I look forward to her massive pot of sauce. Half gets bagged and frozen flat for easy dinners that use it, and the other half is for our soon to be world famous lasagna that I would put against anyone's! After making it and having our two squares, we cut and freeze the rest for an easy lasagna night throughout the fall and winter months. YUM!!! YUM!!! YUM!!! The Bottom Line? Uncle Steve Approved!
