Liberty Garden 4000 Brass Swivel for models 698, 703, 703-S2, 706, 708, 840, 840-S, 840-SB, 870, 871, 871-S, 872, 880, 885, 890

The part fit just right thanks to the help of Liberty Garden on an old hose reel model. Worked well!!

I had two model 708 steel hose reels purchased from Home Depot a few years back. Bith had developed leaks due to rubber gaskets drying out in Colorado sun. These brass swivels are a perfect fit and upgrade to original alluminum parts. I do wish the Liberty sold replacement gaskets for the aluminum swivels, but at least they are available for the brass ones. Shipping was faster than expected and install took less than 5 minutes. Suggest you have a 7/8" box wrench handy.

It fixed my liberty hose reel but I had to use different o rings.

Fit exactly like the original one.

Replaced the leaky aluminum swivel connector on 8year old Hamptons Bay reel from HD (same as Liberty Garden) Quality is good. Does not leak. And since it’s brass hopefully will not start in the future. Old one started to leak few years into service. I also took the reel apart and repainted it. Looks better than new. The new swivel was same size as the old one. New reel is 4-5 times this much and there was nothing wrong with mine except the swivel

The swivel matches the dimensions provided in the products literature and thus I was able to make it work on a different brand hose reel. Not this usual literature of a picture with no actual dimensions.

Excellent product, bought this 4 years ago and it’s been super. With the hard water in my town and constant use, the “O” ring starts to leak. Can’t complain, 4 years is stellar for this kind of fitting. I would recommend since I’ve had to replace this fitting on 3 different hose reels over the last decade. Solid buy!

Perfect replacement

The original aluminum swivel assembly on my Hampton Bay Hose Reel was leaking. I tried replacing the orings but that didn't work. The swivel block was corroded inside not allowing the orings to seal. I purchased this brass assembly and took it apart, installed it's orings on the reel's original stem, and installed the new brass swivel block and snap ring. I hooked up the hoses and tested....it works, no leaks. Some hose reels allow you to remove the entire swivel assembly, but mine would not come apart, so I had to take the new swivel apart and use its components. The new brass block is a little shorter in length compared to the aluminum block, but it covers the orings and does seal.

I could not find the proper swivel fitting for my hose reel, bought this one to try, with a bushing adapter this work perfectly on my hose reel.
