Rubies Men's King Robe and Crown Set

Our office had a Halloween party and each Dept had a theme. Our Dept was Candyland and I was chosen to be King Candy. I searched for the real costume and it was over $100...too much for a 1 time party. Found this value costume and it worked perfectly. I'm 5-10" and 215 lbs and the cape fit perfectly! Came down to just below my knees. So if your shorter, you have room and if taller, still looks like a good cape. The "crown" was tight but still OK. I put some candy striped tights and colorful shirt and makeup and it turned out perfect. Would recommend for very casual use.

We loved it! I really only used the cape for my family’s troll costume for Halloween. It fit great! He says fabric too thin but he didn’t know how much I paid for it so I think we got a great deal. I sew a lot so I’m just going to add a liner in. Bonus points for the hat! My daughter loves to wear it around the house

The robe came in and looks great, is pretty thin, but totally understandable for the price. The white/black part kinda sticks up if you aren't careful, but other than that its just what i needed for my Queen Halloween costume. The hat on the other-hand, don't even bother. Not only did it not fit my head, even if it did it would have looked incredibly dumb. It is so stiff, and makes a weird crunchy sound when you touch it bc of the cheap fabric. There is very little give in the fabric, and it is so absurdly tall (which I knew from the picture, but thought maybe it wouldnt be so bad). I would recommend buying a crown elsewhere.

Decent for the price, but does NOT breathe and the hat thing is a bit ridiculous even for my ridiculous costume. I couldn't get the hat to unfold in a way so it stayed rounded, so I put an inflatable crown over it so it actually looked like a crown and not a weird, half-concave pope hat. I ended up ditching the (non-inflatable) crown within half an hour anyways because it didn't breathe at all and I was dripping sweat within minutes. The cape also was hot and didn't breathe, but that was much more manageable. I also bedazzled the cape with some iron-on rhinestone lettering, and the cape fabric did just fine with that! I was worried the iron would melt the cheap material, but it worked just fine and all the rhinestones survived 3 days of a drunken, busy convention so I was pretty impressed with that. Definitely got a lot of compliments! I'll still end up upgrading for next year so I'm not as sweaty and can have a manageable crown.

My 10-yr-old son needed to be King George III for a school presentation. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so this was perfect! It touched the ground on him. The crown is soft and a bit "funny-looking," but we anticipated this from the other reviews. So, we also purchased an inexpensive "add-on" crown. It was perfect too since it was less than $2 and it was made of soft, flexible plastic. Reviews on other plastic crowns said they were stiff plastic and snapped when they tried to bend them to wear. The one we got was perfect. No problems. We also bought the "add-on" scepter for about $5. That worked great too! We can definitely use this ensemble for Halloween or another "royal" presentation.

This was for my husband for for a costume party. We went as the king and queen of hearts. It was a huge success! My husband is 5'10 and 170 lbs and it looked made just for him. The hat/crown was odd to try to shape. It tended toward cardinal not king. And he did say it was quite warm. All in all it was money well spent!

For the money you can not ask for more! This was better quality thann what I expected and it fit well. If you're looking for a quick, easy, and affordable costume this will fit the bill. Some reviews have complained about the crown/hat, It's the same material as the gown and it worked well for us. Color is a rich red. Would buy again!
