This started out working great, but after only doing 3- 8' cables, where it is crimped on both ends, it stopped working. I had made sure there was oil in it, but noticed the plastic "O" ring is cracked. They sent an extra one, but no instructions on how to replace. Instructions themselves were horrid and not helpful at all. Wish I had gotten to this project earlier, but after purchasing, other things took priority, so my return window has come and gone. When looking up warranty, it just takes you back to Amazon. Can't even find a company website. The company noticed my review and offered to send a replacement, even though the return window had passed. Kudos to this company for standing by their product. Still wish there were better instructions, but now we can finish our deck railing.

This tool was absolutely high quality and easy to use. The price point was perfect and included a ton of accessories. The carry case kind of was so-so, but the tool itself was awesome!

This product was necessary for crimping a 3/16” threaded terminal fitting on a 1x9 stainless steel cable. First, this crimper, and I would assume the others as well, did the job, although not as described. I work with my hands a lot, I have a fairly strong grip, and I found that the easiest way to use this was to lay down a piece of cloth, position the crimper on the terminal fitting, and lay down the crimper on the towel with the handle sticking up. Then you can put your upper body weight on the handle to ensure the strongest crimp. I seriously doubt the average individual will be able to achieve 10 tons of pressure by hand. Second, the tool comes with many dies, a pair of wire cutters, and an instruction sheet. The only thing I really didn’t realize since I had never done this type of railing is it is simply not feasible to cut a 3/16” dia 1X9 SS cable. I was able to cut a few strands from the cable, but it’s so much easier to use a cutting wheel for this purpose, so paying extra for the wire cutters is not necessary. Just use a cutting wheel. This is a good tool, but I probably could have used something a little cheaper with the same results.

Failed within a few uses. The product only worked for maybe 20 uses of the 100 ish crimps I needed for my deck project. Do not recommend.

I probably could have figured out a different way to crimp these down like others have, but we have an elevated deck, and saftey is worth the 60 bucks to do it right. They worked well and I feel better knowing that the cable is locked in securely.

Great product. Has a large number of crimping dies and works great right out of the box. Be sure to keep pumping the handle until you can’t go any farther. The last squeeze or two are harder but important.

Great product. Working in 90 degree weather the crimpers lost a little power in the sun. But that would be expected. It does come with seal kit which I may be using before project is over. I completed an upper landing today and was very pleased.
