I've gotten some really cool pics with my helios 44-2 with this adapter thanks to both the swirly bokeh and 8 degree tilt from this adapter (which can be adjusted to tilt in 8 directions). the lens aperture and focus ring markings do not line up nicely with the top of the camera, but that's been largely a non issue. The thing i don't like is the feel of the tilt ring, which is very gritty, almost like there's sand in it. But given the results, that's a non issue.

When rotating the adapter ring it sounds like metal on metal rubbings against each over. Rotated the item over a piece of clean white paper. Looked at the paper under a X10 power microscope - you could see a few very small, (dust particle size), fragments of Anodizing and a couple of pieces of metal. Repeated the process twice with the same results. If installed on a camera these items would have been deposited on the sensor cover glass. Trying to clean that out could result in scratches on the glass.

Have had so much fun playing with this. Has its kinks, but for the price that should be expected.

This is an amazing product for the price. I’m having fun shooting with it.
