Must have for serious tap dancers
These feel and sound amazing. They are solidly built and should last a long time. By far these are the best tap shoes. Amazon had the size I needed for $40 less than the Bloch website. I read reviews that suggested one full size larger, and that was perfect. I wear a 10 women and bought an 11.

Not real genuine leather up
I selected this pair of tap shoes because it is genuine leather as described. Actually I received tap shoes that is not smelled like genuine leather. Does not feel as smooth as genuine leather. No any reflation light on the up โleatherโ. Actuary it looks like 100% Polyurethane Upper.Good thing is I read previously reviews before purchasing, then bought one full size up based on my regular shoes size, ware them with thin socks feel just right.

Runs small
I went through three pairs of these shoes before I found ones that fit. Once I found the pair that felt okay, they were pretty comfortable! I usually wear a size 11 in any shoe, but I needed a size 12 in these! Thatโs the largest they will run. Other than that, the quality has been excellent.

These are great dance shoes. They have a good sound.
Toe box is a little tight but I they doesnโt hurt my feet and I feel they will stretch. I am very happy with the dance shoes. They look great and the other dances have given me some positive comments!

They're workable, but not perfect.
The shoes arrived safely ahead of schedule. What I really want is a pair without taps for swing dancing, but Bloch doesn't offer them (WHY NOT?) and these appeared to be my best alternative. I've worn them on carpet and tried tapping on a piece of scrap wood. The fit seems ok with thin socks, which are thicker than the nylons I wore with my other shoes. They could use another set of eyelets to keep them from slipping off my right heel (since bunion surgery my right foot is smaller). I ordered a full size larger than my too-snug size 8 So Danca shoes, and a half size larger than my too-snug 8.5 Bloch tap shoes (mary jane style). Capezio men's 6.5 oxfords were too small across the instep and yet the heel was too wide. I always need more room across the instep and more depth in the toe. My feet have grown since I started swing dancing 18 years ago, and I've added orthotics. Yes, I'm really old and my feet are worn out but I want to keep dancing. Enough whining. These are good, well-made shoes.

nice quality and comfortable
I have danced ballet all my life, but now in my 40's trying out some tap. These shoes are nice quality. The leather was not stiff and they don't look plastic-y.I am not experienced enough to comment on the sound quality of the taps.Shoes were comfortable the first time I wore them.re: sizing - the correct size for me was one half size up from my normal size. I usually wear a 7.5 medium in shoes and I tried on both 8 and 8.5 in these Blochs based on other reviewers. The 8.5 was definitely too big for me, especially in the toe area. The 8 was even had some extra room- so I wear them with a thin athletic sock. I probably could have be fine with my normal size - 7.5, if I only wear tights, but I think the extra room of the 8 is good in case my feet swell a bit while dancing.I think if you have wide or very square in the toe feet then you may need to go up one full size.

It says to order your normal size. You need to order 2 sizes bigger. They are made for women.
I teach dance and am on my feet for a long time. The shoe has to be comfortable. I ordered a size 11 which is one size larger than my normal shoe. It was way too small. I returned them and had a bigger size ordered. i ended up with a size 12 that just fit lengthwise but is still tight widthwise. Thay don't seem to have a wide width. They do stretch out if you wear them so I will keep this pair. Shoes are not easy to buy when you can't try them on.

It's a nice shoe, but they run small.

Soft leather
This shoe runs small. I wear an 8, ordered 8.5 and should have ordered a 9. Shoe laces very skimpy.

Great tap shoe!
Tap shoes were perfect, bloch is a great brand so honestly, they were as expected. I sized up .5 a size, and they are good. Stiff, but again expected. Need to be broken in.

Fit
My daughter who is 12 loves these shoes better than any other she has used (and there have been a few). She love the fit, true to size, says they are quiteโ comfortable and hardly need to be broken in at all.โ I think they are well made and will last a longtime. Unfortunately, her feet are still growing but we will only buy this brand.

Fit Small
I did end up returning them to order 1/2 size larger so I ended up getting 1 full size larger than my street shoes. The most frustrating thing is the pair I returned had laces and the new pair I received came in a very beat up box with no laces so now I need to find others. I live in a very rural area so they are hard to find.
