I've tried this sleep mask for a few weeks now, and it really is an immense upgrade from my old one. This mask does not push against my eyes, and it feels all over comfy and professionally made. To be honest, I love it and am glad my search here on Amazon finally led me to this helpful product. The only design question I came up with, though it hasn't materialized the way I feared when first trying on the mask, is that the strap band might benefit from being a bit wider and also not as saw-like along the edge. I mean, we don't want to lose our ears wearing a sleep mask. Ok, that might be putting it too harsh, because I haven't experienced what I feared might be a sawing effect when wearing the mask, making the whole experience using it a surprisingly positive one. This might be a big mask, and so I choose to imagine sleeping on the side might cause a problem if you have a small head, but for me, this mask has worked amazingly well. Even though the mask is a bit stiff. A few times I see light when laying on the side, a result coming from the stiffness causing the mask to move out of position when in contact with the pillow, but that seems to happen more seldom as time goes by. It's as if the mask is being broken in. Plus, I haven't tightened the band after the initial adjustment I made. I imagine tightening it will make the mask even less prone to light bleed. It does have an inner fluffy "barrier", laying between the nose and eyes, helping against light seeping in. No wonder it does such a good job keeping it out in general. The mask itself just feels so professional. All in all, I am very satisfied with this product.

been using this for over 7 years, and only purchased 2 during that time (one travel, one at home). I'm JUST buying a new one for the first time as the headband finally stretched out. This thing is a 10/10 and truly blocks all light, huge fan I'm light sensitive and tried a bunch of others on amazon prior and none of them *really* did the job

UPDATE: September 5, 2019. Finally time for a replacement... I have had this Dream Essentials sleep mask for 5 years now. I have used this mask pretty much every day/night for 5 years! I have machine washed it maybe 20 times and it always came out perfectly clean and no deformities. The cushioning around the eyelets have maybe lost some loft, but the mask still works well. I have found that the strap cuts off circulation to the back of the head if worn too tight, so I loosened it a bit which lets in a very slight peek of light but it isn't enough to wake me up in daylight. The strap cuts into the top of the ears, so I learned to pull the strap upward along the back of my head a bit awkwardly. *I would suggest to Dream Essentials to experiment with sewing the strap at a slight angle upward looping around the back of the head and maybe pad the place the strap goes over the ears.* The velcro is very strong and feels like ripping, when pulling apart to adjust. This has led to the final downfall of this mask and now needing a replacement. I have adjusted the strap maybe 5 times in the total time I've had this mask. Maybe it's the washing and the stress from the forcible pulling of the velcro to adjust, but the plastic velcro side has become brittle and little hooks have all but flaked off just this last week. So now there is no way to connect the straps unless I want to tie it or somehow fashion a buckle. (The fabric has a hole worn through over the years to expose tan foam where it rests between my eyebrows due to a Frida Kahlo sprout of wirey hairs. But the hole hasn't unraveled the fabric threads) OVERALL: This mask has served me well over 5 years. It blocks light completely with a nudge of adjustment, and is comfortable for side sleeping. It is durable, washes well and has remained comfortable around the eyes. I would recommend this mask and would buy again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: October 3, 2013 I sleep a lot during the day and I wanted to finally invest in a sleep mask. I chose this Dream Essentials for the recessed eye wells. It is quite comfortable. I am a side sleeper. Some have complained about how a bit of light creeps in from the nose area. I think that probably will happen a bit with every mask. This mask works just fine and is snug and stays on all night through my tossing and turning. My only gripe is that the band that goes around the head should have some soft padding or something where the band goes over and past the ears, as this part kinda cuts into the tops of the ears and over a few hours can get uncomfortable and sore. Because of this I just pull the head band up a bit so that it doesn't rest against my ears.

De esta marca he comprado 3 de colores diferentes y me encantan, lo único es que el cierre de velcro que antes traían era más cómodo

Ich habe verschiedene Masken probiert und das ist für mich die beste! Habe noch eine zweite gekauft für das Reisegepäck. Sie ist sehr flauschig gepolstert und schließt an der Nase sehr gut ab. Mit geöffneten Augen kann ich manchmal noch einen ganz minimalen Lichtschein sehen, bei geschlossenen Augen ist es aber finster. Dabei entsteht kein Druck auf die Augen. Das elastische Band ist angenehm breit wird mit Klett geschlossen, so dass keine Schnalle drücken kann. Sie ist recht groß, ich habe aber auch einen großen Kopf und bin überwiegend Rückenschläfer, daher stört mich das nicht.
