Just started using this and so far I’ve noticed it gives me a strong hold and a matte finish that looks natural throughout the day. It applies easily, does not leave hair feeling stiff or greasy, and a small amount is sufficient for styling. The scent is mild and not distracting, and the product rinses out without difficulty. Based on my experience, it performs reliably and meets expectations. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

This stuff is legit. Strong hold, matte finish, and my hair actually stays where I put it without looking crunchy, shiny, or like I dipped my head in fryer oil. It gives a clean, textured look and has enough hold to survive a full day without needing constant fixing. You do need to work it in your hands first, but once it warms up it goes in easily and styles really well. The scent is solid too clean and masculine without punching you in the face all day. Only downside is the jar isn’t huge for the price, but since you don’t need much each time, it should last a while. Overall, I will definitely buy it again.

I am somewhat of a hygiene product junkie. Not terrible, but I do try many different products for hair, skin oral health, supplements etc. Now, If I find what I love and really works, I will stay loyal as long as the product stays consistent. (Companies do change formulas some times, thinking they're improving it, but that is not always the case) Brickell is one of those companies that I have come to really love and respect, in that many of their products just work for me, and are really of such great quality! I have been using the Hair Styling Clay Pomade for Men, with Strong Hold and Matte finish. Pros: 1 - This pomade has the correct texture in my mind. One "must" for a good hair pomade, is that it must emulsify in your hands when you put some in your hand and rub your palms together. It must break down into an almost invisible "cream" because if it doesn't, you get visible "chunks" of product in your hair. NO one wants to look like they have big pieces of dandruff hanging around! ha Brickell's Styling Clay does this perfectly! 2 - If you buy a styling pomade that says "Strong Hold", then it should be strong hold! Brickell got this right; this product does what it says. Your hair will stay in place. 3 - Just because a styling pomade is strong hold does NOT mean it should be difficult to administer into your hair. If you know, you know.......there are more than a few strong hold, styling clays out there that are SO stiff, #1 you can barely scrape it out of the jar, and #2, you can't break it down and it has not choice but to go on fairly clumpy. Total deal breaker in my book; too hard to work with. 4- This product smells nice! I do not need my hair styling products to have any scent at all, but if it's going to, I prefer it to smell manly enough, and it needs to be subtle. I wear good colognes, and I do not want me other products trying to compete and give off all kinds of different scents. Brickell's Styling Clay Pomade for Men, is both nicely scented and very subtle; no overpowering going on here. Cons: Really, there is only one, and it is not the product's issue, it's the user... I have pretty fine, thin hair. This styling clay will work for pretty much everyone elses hair.....normal, thicker, longer, etc. For me, it is maybe just a bit too much. Since my hair is so thin and fine (and I really wish it wasn't, but you get what God gives you), it definitely controls it, but seems to slightly overdefine it and gets too many hairs to stick together and then gives me more space to see my head. Not in a terrible way by any means, but again, not the product's fault, I just need to drop down and get the next Brickell styling product down a notch with a bit less "strong hold". When your hair is fine like mine, you just don't need that strong of a product. :) For 95% of everyone else, get the Brickell Hair Styling Clay Pomade for men if you want a product that will give you nice control, great hold and with a very natural matte finish!

I have been using various Brickell’s products and have been very satisfied with them. I really like their body wash and facial products. This is the second hairstyling product I have tried and overall it’s a nice product. I do prefer it over the hair powder I have tried but only because this styling clay fits my morning routine better. Below are some final thoughts: Pros - Easy to apply. It spreads through the hair easily and a little goes a long way. - Nice hold. It holds the hair in place nicely without being crunchy. It has a nice natural feel - Organic ingredients. It does make the hair feel soft and healthy. On days where I haven’t done much physical activity I will simply rinse my hair with water and my hair isn’t greasy. Cons - Wished it were more matte in the finish. It provides a little shine but it is not like a high shine gel. - Needs to provide a little more texture to the hair. It isn’t my go to product but I will continue mixing it in my rotation as I do like how my hair feels with it.

Top quality ingredients. Great subtle smell. Overall, excellent. The consistency of the product is definitely that of clay. Apply strategically to wet hair for a more sculpted hold, rub between dry palms and add a little bit of water to spread more uniformly throughout hair. Overall application is pretty easy once you get used to it in, depending upon how you want to utilize the product. Smells a little like something you might find at a hardware store, but not in an unpleasant way. Definitely subtle, and suggesting of good ingredients with no added fragrance or coloring. Even the quality of the ingredients, the size you receive is decent, and depending on how much you use of course, can last quite a while. I will say a little bit goes a long way. At least it did for me. The hold of the product I’d say is medium. It’s not crunchy or crispy like hair gel, but more pliable and stable throughout the entire day. Leaves less of a shine and more of a matte finish and I will say after a week of use, hair seemed to have more volume and was healthier. Rinses out relatively easy, but would recommend utilizing a good clarifying shampoo once in a while, as the product does build up a little bit with repeated use. Would purchase again. Even with the smaller size, given the quality of the ingredients I felt like I got quite a bit for my money. Update February 2026. Love this. I have ordered 2 more. The quality, fold, pliability and smell are outstanding. Really great!

I LOVE THIS HAIR STYLING PRODUCT!! Absolutely love it, it is not to hard, and not to soft, it’s the perfect paste that helps me style my hair easily, not greasy but still holds my hair still and very easy to be applied. You need very little amount to get a perfect, all day lasting result, it works really well. I get many compliments about my hair and the way it looks. The price is very reasonable for the amount, size of the product and quality, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for high quality product for a fair price. In general, I love Brickell products, their skincare line is also amazing, and I am so grateful I got to cross my way with their line. If I could, I would rate it 10 stars.
