Martin Authentic Acoustic Guitar Strings, Flexible-Core MA550FX 92/8 Phosphor Bronze

These have super bright sound, are light weight, easy to bend and i have no regrets. It is funny but i have friends that say i should be using 12-53’s or 13-54-56’s, as if light strings are not macho. I find them durable and plenty loud when I need them to be. The price is right and the strings are great

First of all, they do sound good. I put these on my 50 year-old D12-28 to help reduce the tension/stress the extra strings put on the bridge and top. The specs indicate they should have about 7% less tension that normal strings. Every little bit helps. For the same reason, I always use extra-lights and keep it tuned down at least 1/2 step down. The strings feel like they might have a little more flex, but it's hard to be sure.

I use these on my work guitar. I can pretty much play the opening to Johnny B Goode with all the appropriate bends on an acoustic guitar. Normally, were i to try that, I would regret it. My fingers hurt after a day of teaching bends on acoustic. These strings make it way easier.

I've been getting these from time to time for years, mostly if I have a gig. They really are super nice and easy to play, and sound great. For about 6-8 hrs, depending on how hard you play. after that they go pretty dead. If you can afford that, go for it.

I don't write many reviews but these strings are so amazing that here I am. First, let me say that I have many high end guitars (Martin, Taylor, Collings, etc...) and have been playing for decades. I've tried many types and brands of strings and have used Elixirs for many years. These blow the Elixirs away - the tone is far, far superior! I've put them on all my guitars now and they're really amazing. Describing tone is a fools game so I won't even try but do yourself a favor and try these. As for longevity, I just put mine on a week or so ago so I can't say yet. But, even if they don't last as long as Elixirs, they're so much cheaper and sound so much better that I'm more than happy to change them a little more frequently - after all it only takes 5 minutes. I tried the Martin lifespans - not a fan.

I use these on most of my acoustic guitars,custom light strings are a little easier to play,these work well on guitars with a little Xtra bass,but they sound good on all of my guitars

I have used many other brands and when i strung my Martin guitar with these strings it changed the quality and tone of the guitar.I will buy again as they do make a huge difference in playability and comfort and sound

These strings do have a more lifetime over other strings I've used. The quality is excellent and the sound is nicely balanced. They sound a little less bright but I like the fullness. Excellent sound. They are on the expensive side but I intend to switch to them. Now I need a 10 pack to come out!

These are good quality strings. I use them on both of my Martin acoustic guitars. They sound good and hold pitch well. They also last for a long time. The flexible core gives them a softer feel which suits my style of playing.

They really hold tuning well but the overal sound is rather dull and the lower strings don't deliver much.
