Thai Deodorant Stone Thai Natural Crystal, Push-Up Stick, 2.125 Ounce

I cycle a lot and dont like to use much of deo in my body ( i hate chemical product ). This solves my sweat smell problem, especially when i cycle and go to office.

I was diagnosed with hyperhidrosis when I was 12yrs old. I couldn't even hold hands(I still don't) or write a 2hr long exam without smearing the answer sheet. (Solution: Always carry a handkerchief and a hand-sanitizer with you all the time). When I was 13, I started using antiperspirants or sometimes just deodorants when I knew that I wouldn't be out for too long. Antiperspirants were effective for almost 5hrs(in my case), after which I would start sweating again. Honestly, I wasn't MUCH concerned about the excessive sweating, well... except for the sweat stains it used to leave behind on my white school uniform and other clothes. But what I couldn't stand was the onion-y gross sweat odor! I'm convinced that my classmates were either too polite or had stuffed nose all throughout high school. I remember trying to mask the odor using deodorants but I don't think it was very effective. Hmm.. so fast forward 5-6 yrs, I read an article on the health risks of using antiperspirants because of it's aluminium content. Aluminium in antiperspirants have been linked to breast cancer and Alzheimer's! Now, that report got me scared as I'd been applying antiperspirants on my underarms and other areas for years already! So anyways, I started looking for other alternatives and that's how I came across this crystal deodorant back in 2010. Everyone on the internet was raving about it's effectiveness for controlling body odor for upto 24hrs and I was sold! However there was one big problem- the international shipping! It costed a bomb and the Ebay sellers were charging exorbitant amounts for this tiny little stone. I asked my 'Amreekan' relatives to get it for me and it was around that time I saw some negative reviews about these crystal sticks. I'm quoting here some of the not-so-good things I read about this deo-stick on the internet:- "Crystal deodorant's main ingredient is 'Alum' or potassium alum. Alum has been used for a very long time in reservoirs to clarify water. It has also been used as a remedy for sores and to stop bleeding. That said, there is no doubt that alum contains aluminum, often hydrated potassium aluminum sulfate (potassium alum). Anyone who thinks that using a natural crystal deodorant eliminates aluminum is kidding herself." One user wrote: "Over 20 years ago, I paid to have one of these crystals tested for aluminum at a government-certified scientific testing facility next to my office just to find the truth. The crystal, purchased at a local health food store, and labeled as healthy was approx 47% aluminum. I was so glad I decided to test before considering its use! The amount was astonishing, as I’d had many people online and in person tell me that they contained no aluminum. Anytime I meet someone who is using them, I tell them my test results." The statements “safe for children, pets, etc. are blatantly false, but the EPA cannot police every item that is imported.Many herbal supplements source from China are found to contain common shrubs, not the herb they claim to contain." Feeling dejected, I then started using Milk of Magnesia(MoM)-which costs less than 50 Rupess for 100ml for my underarm sweating and surprisingly, it worked for me! Okay, now MoM won't stop you from sweating, but it controls body odor to a good extent(upto 4hrs in my experience). I also highly recommend this natural DIY deodorant using Baking soda+ Arrowroot power/Cornflour + Coconut oil+2-3 drops of Essential oil. It works GREAT for controlling body odor. You can find different variations of this recipe online. I just thought that I should let people know about the possible side-effects of these Crystal/Thai/Alum deodorant sticks since most people here think of it as a 'Miracle' stick. People, do your research before you buy ANY deodorant/antiperspirant. As far as possible, use natural remedies/DIYs for your body. If nothing else works, I'd suggest that you get Botox for your underarms and iontophoresis(which is a technique of introducing ionic medicinal compounds into the body through the skin by applying a local electric current) for your hands and feet. It is not a sweat reducing stone. It stops bacterial growth hence, no smell. Just wet the stone in water and rub for 15-20secs on skin. It works wonders! 36hrs of no smell and I sweat excessively! Loved it! It doesn’t even leave any residue or texture on skin unlike body sprays and deodorant.

No smell to it, once applied it lasts the full 24hrs for me. The product keeps me going for approx 8 months a time. Healthy alternative because it’s supposed to be 100% mineral salts as stated in the ingredients. This is what i buy and have been since 2019.
