I have a'01 TJ. If I get this box, do I need spacers as have been mentioned?

Spacers simply assist with the installation of the base block plate. The Base Block Plate prevents any access to the mounting bolt to prevent removal once installed! The base block plate wraps around the mounting flange and can be difficult to insert because of the lack of space between the carpet and mounting flange. A spacer such as a washer increases the space between the carpet and mounting flange making installation easier! Please note that the drawer will be able to install without the base block plate and does not require spacers!
